Unexpected.

A regular normal school day. Just me and (Y/n) chilling on the rooftop as per usual.

I'm having a smoke break while they're right next to me. Exchanging a few words with me or just telling me what they heard on that Shuttle Patch thing..

I always listen to them talk and stuff.

Though, they aren't talking as usual.

Which is alright. I don't mind the silence.

Blowing out another puff of my cigarette, I let it sit in between my lips as I breathe through my nose, inhaling the fresh air mixed with the smoke from my cigarette.

"Wolf."

"Yeah?"

"Mind if I tell you something?"

"Go ahead."

"I like you."

I turn my head over to them, cigarette still in my mouth as I stare at them.

Their eyes staring right back at me.

"As a friend?"

"No. I have a crush on you."

A new smell mixes up in the air.

The smell of.. Perfume.

They never wore perfume.

Did it rub off on you, (Y/n)?

It's mixing in with the smell of smoke from my cigarette.

It smells.. Sweet.

I let out a laugh.

Yeah, I'm crazy. That's what everyone says about me.

I don't even know how to react in this situation.

It's so strange.

It's so strange that I let out a laugh of sarcasm.

"You serious?"

"Yeah. I am."

Really now?

"No way. You aren't. Stop joking with me."

"I'm serious, Keum."

My last name.

No one ever uses my last fucking name.

And I won't allow them to.

"Don't use my fucking last name. We're not even that close."

Anger took over my emotions.

No one ever dared nor tried to call me by my last name.

Well, look at where we are.

(Y/n) (L/n).

You dumb bitch.

"You think you can just come into my life and follow me around like some fuckin' leech? You're pathetic, (Y/n)."

"Do you think I ever enjoyed your company? You're so annoying. I never even liked you in the first place."

This is for the best.

Pushing them away is for the best.

I need to focus on myself.

Not someone else.

You're too good for me, (Y/n).

I don't deserve someone like you.

I watched tears start to form in their eyes, making them glossy.

Please don't be like this.

I can't watch you be like this.

"Fuck off now. Don't say a word to me ever again."

They quickly turned away.

I watched them head to the exit of the rooftop.

The door slamming shut as I stood there, turning my head forward and facing the view in front of me.

Fuck friends.

They're just a distraction.

They only get in the way.

I don't have time for relationships.

I don't need their fucking pity.
