that day she was playing the piano was the day he fell into an unbreakable spell. stationed near the door, he twisted in enchantment, envy, awe; his eyes stayed fixed on her hands, so graciously moving in harmony with the keys. Each delicate press on a singular key, moving at faster and slower rates to piece together an intricate and beautiful song. before long, the piece was over, and the room was in silence. she turned to the university room's door and stared at the empty room before going along with her day. the boy had simply walked away, but every day, he'd visit that piano room in hopes that one of those times, she would be there, playing once more. was this love?
