Chapter 1

Deboras POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring in my ear as I rolled over and smacked it to turn it off, groaning loudly as I sat up in bed pulling my covers closer to me, It's always bloody freezing in this place. I eventually convinced myself to get out of bed walking to the kitchen to make some tea and toast, I sat at the table waiting for my toast to pop and there was a loud chap at the door making me jump, I looked at the clock on the wall 7am what the hell who's here at this time, I stood up and unlocked my front door opening it
"Morning love"
"Steven? What the bloody hell you doing here"
" thought I'd stop by before uni" he said as he walked into the kitchen, I followed after him and the toast popped from the toaster
" ohhh toast dont mind if I do" Steven said as he jumped up on the counter pinching my toast. I picked up my mug of tea and leaned against the counter across from Steven
" excuse me but that was mine" I said as steven jumped down off the counter and leaned against it.
"You should be used to it by now love after all I have been stealing your toast since we were 7" he said taking the last bite i hummed in response
" and yet I still have no idea why I thought it was a great idea for us to go to uni together" I said smiling as I rolled my eyes at my stupid friend. I walked over putting my mug in the sink and Steven wrapped his arms around my waist from behind giving me a hug
" oi, you know you love me" he said
" ohh shove off" I said turning around and pushing him back, he started laughing
" so what is debora upto today then, anything exciting" Steven said as he plopped himself down on my couch and I sat beside him resting my head on his shoulder
" well if you must know I have loads of work to do also a new dog to walk " I said smiling up at him
" your not serious are you" he said shifting his whole body to face me as I done the same
" yea I am serious, why?" I said frowning my eyebrows at him
" well you already walk 15 dogs and one day your going to need fo find a proper job. You can't just look after dogs all your life." Steven said giving me his stupid serious look, I roll my eyes standing up walking round the back of the couch.
" steven don't it's perfect for me with uni and all plus it still pays the bills does it not, plus it's only a puppy what difference will a puppy make to the other 15 grown dogs I already look after. I said crossing my arms, Steven sighed slapping his thighs as he stood up
" okay your right, how many dogs have you got today anyway? He asked
" Iv got 7 today, and yes that crazy husky is one of them " I said As I walk back round the couch and I to the kitchen putting some more toast on " and the puppy today to so my hands will be full introducing them all" i said giving a quite sigh
" well I can stop by after uni today give you a hand if you like" Steven said as he leaned against my kitchen door frame,
" it's upto you long as you haven't got anything to do"
" nah I'll pop by later, anyways I better go got a class starting soon enjoy your day" Steven said as he headed to the front door
" oh and by the way looks like you've got a new neighbour " Steven said smiling he closed the door behind him and I went into my room to get dressed for the day.

A few hours passed and my home was crazy ,dogs barking running around crazy. normally I can keep them under control but this new puppy reggie is completely out of control I was running around my flat after dogs trying to get the puppy but it was no use,
" max no, stop that, ohh Bella"
I decided it was probably best to take them for a walk I put all the leashes on them and opened my front door as the dragged me out to the landing
" stop pulling, wait there, oh max will you be quite" I said to max the very vocal husky, with the dogs pulling me towards the stairs and trying to lock my door was very, well challenging,
" you alright love?" I head what must be my new neighbour say to me
" oh um yeah thanks, I'm sorry for all the noise these dogs are a bit wild" I said to the man
" yeah they seem it, they all yours?" He asked while shifting the box in his arms to make it more comfortable
" oh god no could you imagine" I said with a laugh
" it's my job, im sorry im debora by the way" I said holding my hand out to the man
" Brian" he said as he shook my hand
" so I take it your my new neighbour?" I asked him the dogs still trying to pull me away from the man keen to get out
" nah I'm just helping my mate move in" he said and I heard another voice coming up the stairs
" what's that bloody racket I'm not listening to dogs barking all the time there must be about-" he stopped mid sentence and looked at all the dogs then me I looked down embarrassed with the noisy dogs
" uh roger mate this is debora your new neighbour" Brian said to him
" hi " I said sticking my hand out for him to shake
A sly smirk crossed Rogers face
" alright love, roger, roger Taylor " he said as he ran his tongue alone his bottom lip, the dogs dragged me right past him as I grabbed the railing and dug my heels into the ground using all my weight to hold them back,
" I better go it was lovely to meet you both" I said as the dogs pulled me the rest of the way out of the building.
