FOREVER AND ALWAYS

Ch-10

"Why are you so nervous?" Ro asked as he saw vi pacing in the room. "Honestly I am feeling like you are going to see girlfriend."
"Shut up" vi said scowling a little "and by the way lame joke, I am already married."

"But this is the way you used to pace right when you went to meet anushka before marriage."
"And so did you" replied vi "when you went to meet ritika."

"Well obviously, at that time there was no certainty and one mistake would cause break up, but my point in the beginning was why are you acting like that? It's mahi bhai for god's sake!"

"Well I don't want anything to go wrong again, one mistake and we would not talk to each other for six months again." Replied virat.

"Stop overthinking vi, I don't think anything like that would ever happen again. I don't think both of you will be ever able to stay apart that long again."

"Well you don't know" vi said still pacing.

Ro went, made him stop and put a hand on his shoulder.
"Vi, just relax okay? Take a deep breath and relax."
Vi took a deep breath and tried to relax himself.

              

"You have to take me tomorrow" Harry was saying to mahi. "Just the two of us."
"If you will take my wicket in the first ball, then sure" mahi replied.
"First ball? But virat got twelve balls!"
"He's not a bowler, is he?"
"This is unfair" harry said.
"Well it's life harry, it's not always fair" mahi bhai answered smiling a little.

Harry made a face then said "okay if not out, then you will have to play video game with me."
"We play that five days a week" mahi bhai reminded him.
"Let's do it seven then" harry answered.
"Okay we will see after I come" with this he said goodbye to harry and went out. Virat was waiting outside for mahi bhai.

"Let's go" mahi said to virat and Virat nodded. They went out and sat in the car which was ready for them. And went towards the restaurant where  they had reserved a table. It was one of the best restaurants of the city.

During the whole ride virat was thinking of speaking something but nothing was coming in his mind. Mahi bhai was also trying to find some words but nothing was coming in his mind also.
They were alone yet weren't being able to say anything. The whole ride passed silently with each thinking of what to speak.

Finally they reached the restaurant, and went to the table virat had reserved.
Virat had been careful that he reserves a table where no one could see them because if some fan saw them then they would have to give autographs or take selfies and he would never be able to talk to mahi bhai.

The menu was immediately brought to them.
"What do you want to take virat?" Mahi asked vi.
Virat looked at the menu and then ordered healthy things as his diet was going on.
Mahi expected him to order something healthy and decided to go with it only.

As they were waiting for food, virat finally decided to apologize because he knew he wouldn't get a chance if he keeps waiting.

"Mahi bhai I am sorry for that day" he quickly said looking at him. Mahi looked at him for a moment and then replied
"I am also sorry virat"

Vi was surprised at this.
"Why are you saying sorry?" He asked.
"Because it was my mistake as well. First I did that stupid joke not realising that people would actually take it seriously and then I denied you to come to me for any problem."

"But I didn't have to talk to you like that. I am so sorry, I was just so angry, the media and the message from someone...."

"Your friend that you had told me about?" Mahi asked.
Virat made a face. "He's not my friend"
"That day you were saying something else."
"I know, I was saying anything in anger but believe me he's far from my friend. Just a classmate that I rarely have talked with. But leave him. Mahi bhai I really didn't mean all that and...." Virat paused a little and continued "I didn't even meant that don't call me cheeku line" he said in a low voice.
It was also one of the things that was troubling him. Mahi bhai calling him virat. So formal.

Mahi smiled a little then first time in six months said "I also didn't mean all the things I said, cheeku."

Virat also smiled listening to cheeku.
"You know you can come to me at any time, right? For anything" he continued.

"And I don't know what I will do if you don't give me any more advices on the field and off the field and guide the team" virat said. "Because without you I will be lost, mahi bhai. You don't know how I had spent this much time without you guiding me like an elder brother."

"If we were not in a restaurant, I would have hugged you" mahi said smiling brightly.
"We can still, see I reserved a quiet place for us" vi said.
"But we are in restaurant if the waiter comes...."
"I don't care" saying this virat went and hugged mahi tightly who reciprocated.

After parting from one of the best hugs in both of their lives virat said "tonight we both will stay together and play video games for all the time we couldn't play together."
Mahi laughed and nodded his head.
After that they both had a happy dinner and talked about all the things they couldn't tell each other during those painful months.
And for the first time in a while did both of them feel so happy.

When the dinner was over and they reached their hotel and went to their floor, they saw Rohit pacing in the lobby.
"Rohit what are you doing?" Virat asked surprised that Rohit hadn't gone to sleep and at the same time not surprised because Rohit was the most worried about mahi bhai and him not talking.

Rohit looked at mahi bhai then at virat, they were standing together and both looked most relaxed than he had seen them after coming, so he instantly knew that everything was alright.

"Waiting for you two of course, worrying if everything has gone right or...." He trailed off.

"We are still not talking" virat said winking at mahi bhai making him know his plan.
Mahi bhai nodded deciding to go with cheeku's plan, because now that he was talking with cheeku again, it was simply hard to say no to him like before.

Ro looked at them worried and studied their faces one more minute. Thay were looking so relaxed it was impossible to say they were not talking with each other.
"Stop joking" ro said.
"I am here worried and you two are joking. And this was something expected from vi but bhai you also?" He asked like a kid when something unfair is happening to him.

"Okay, okay sorry" vi said and went to hug him. Mahi bhai also went and hugged ro and vi.
"Everything's alright now thanks to you" he said making ro smile.

"Yeah thank you ro, or I don't think this would have been solved so easily" vi said smiling at his best friend.
"Of course it wouldn't have" ro said in a prideful voice "I am the best aren't i?" He asked.

"Stop boasting you idiot" vi said smacking his head lightly, and another rohirat fight started, but since mahi bhai was present there and talking to virat, it ended quickly with his one warning.

And then Rohit realised that he should give them more time to spent together and so he said that he's sleepy and went to his room feeling very happy.

Mahi bhai and virat went to mahi bhai's room where after a lot of difficulty they managed to convince harry to go to virat's room and then they both played video games for sometime and then went to sleep as they had practice the next day.

In morning at breakfast, they both apologised to evryone for their behaviour and explained what had happened.
"I know you all faced much trouble" vi said.

"Yeah we are bith sorry" mahi bhai said.
"So everything's alright now?" Bhuvi asked making sure that he was hearing right.

"Yeah" vu said and then added "a big thanks go my idiot best friend, ro."
"Bhai" ro said. Mahi just shook his head and asked vi to thank properly. "People can't even take a joke" vi said and then thanked ro properly.

And then everyone had a happy breakfast with vi sitting beside mahi bhai after fighting with Rohit for it just like before.

Everyone were sure at that moment that every member of that team would stay together no matter what happens because their bond was for- forever and always.
