a hc where nahida cares for scaramouche after the boss fight (SPOILERS)

"Nahida, I brought the new clothes for him." You said, walking into the spacious room Nahida was keeping the "false god" in. You weren't from Sumeru, rather from Snezhenaya, but you came to Sumeru, to accompany The Doctor. No, you weren't a Harbinger. Or even part of the Fatui. You were actually a person (or friend) who knew Scaramouche personally, and for some reason, The Doctor suggested you come with him. You were hesitant at first but he promised you and the Tsaritsa he wouldn't hurt you. So you went with him, eventually staying in Sumeru instead of leaving with him.

"Thank you so much Y/N. He's going to be okay, I can sense he's going to wake up soon." You nod, and stare blankly at his body. "But... he has been experiencing some fevers lately." Nahida stated and you sighed, placing your hand on Scara's forehead, and it really was burning up. Thankfully, you wielded a cryo vision, and you kept your hand on his forehead just so the cold would make the fever go away.

Eventually, you even fell asleep there. You usually fell asleep next to him just to make sure he was okay.

The next morning, you only found yourself lying on the bed Scaramouche was laying on before. "What..." You sit up and check your surroundings only to see Scaramouche standing besides you with his new clothes on. "He's kinda..." You slapped your self mentally and shook your head. No, he's your friend. Nothing more. "Took you long enough to wake up." You grumbled and Scaramouche just brushed it off. "You should've just gone back with Dottore." You shook your head again. "Why would I when I knew you were hurt?" You said.

"We're not even that close..." Scaramouche was clearly in denial of his feelings for you and Nahida almost cringed at it. "Well glad to see that you're wearing the clothes I got you." You smiled and he blushed. "Well, glad you're both on good terms." Nahida clapped her hands softly. "Whatever." You rolled your eyes at Scaramouche and turned away. "Hey, don't look away from me." He said, turning your head back towards him forcefully. "Why not?" You smirked. You loved teasing him. "You're my reminder that I'm not alone. That's why."
