Clint sent Wanda and the kids upstairs, knowing something bad was about to happen.

Natasha abruptly stood up. "Why are you here?" She said avoiding eye contact.

"Bucky told me you were gonna be here and I think we need to talk." He said nervously rubbing the back of his neck.

"It's been two years Or for you a lifetime." The harsh bitterness in her voice made Steve flinch slightly.

"You can't be mad at me for living the life I wanted you were the one who told me to get a life!" He defended crossing his muscular arms over his bulk chest.

"In present time. You went back in time to live with your ex girlfriend who moved on Steve. She got married to a guy who wasn't you, she lived her life happily. She's dead. Everything that you had with her when you went back in time was fake. She was happy. What you did was selfish!" She shouted back.

"No one here loved me!"

"I did!" She threw up hands up in frustration as her face went red with anger.

"Well why didn't you tell me?" His voice softened.

"How could I? You looked at that stupid compass everyday that you were so blind you couldn't see that someone in real time was in love with you! You had a family here. The avengers there your family. You gave up all of that for one girl guess family means nothing to you if you give it up that easily." She bit her lip her eyes glossy.

"You can't say that." He shook his head.

"But it's true and what you had with Peggy when you went back it's fake. You lived a false reality that you so badly wanted to be real. When there was a real family here that needed you."

"I still had the right to know you were pregnant with my child!" He argued.

"I was gonna, but you sent me back here before I could. Your son is perfectly fine and I'm doing a great job at being a mother. Alone. He said his first words He learnt how to walk  and he's learning to write. Smart kid he is. And he did all of that without you." Her voice cracked slightly as she bit her lip to hide the quivering.

"I couldn't off been there if I didn't know." He had tears welling up in his own eyes.

"Even if you did know, she always came first." She wiped away the fallen tears and made her way upstairs where Wanda and the kids were.

The others stood round surprised at Natasha's outburst and Steve pursed his lips awkwardly.

"You better fix this." Clint warned before following Natasha's traces upstairs.

He put his face in his hands and then ran his hands through his hair. He heard footsteps and whipped his head up to see Natasha holding James and a bag across her back as she walked towards the door.

"Don't go." He said softly grabbing her upper arm. "James needs a bath." She lied. "There's a bath here."

"Yeah but it doesn't have his toys he won't bath without his toys." She lied again.

"Alright stop lying I'm old not dumb." He rolled his eyes.

"When did that happen?" She said smiling bitterly at him. "I need to go home get off me." She yanked her arm back. "Where do you live maybe I could give you a lift."

"I have my own car and you do not need to know where I live." She walked to the door.

"I'm not married to Peggy." He blurted out and she turned round her Eyebrows scrunched.

"The ring on your finger says different."

"We got divorced we were married for a year. We rushed things it didn't work out. She's married to Daniel. She's happier a lot happier. Your right going back in time was selfish and I could've been In present time. I guess I never got around to taking the ring off here bin it." He slid off his ring chucking the ring to her which she impressively caught between her middle and index finger.

"Don't throw money away like that." She chucked it back and he fumbled about dropping it. "Nice catch." She smirked.

"Still going?" All the kids came bounding downstairs. Natasha sighed then smirked walked over to Steve and handed him James. "Nappy duty." She slid off the bag and put it on the counter before being dragged by Lila to braid her hair.

As soon as Steve held James he burst out crying. "Don't just let him cry!" Natasha shouted braiding Lilas hair.

"I don't know what to do!"

"Change his nappy!"

"How do I do that!"

She tied of lilas hair and stood up walking over to him. "You've never changed a nappy?" He shook his head. "So when you stayed over at Clint's he didn't somehow find a way to make you change nate?" He shook his head again.

"I only did that too you." Clint smiled. Natasha rolled her eyes and pulled out the changing mat and placed it on the floor before grabbing a nappy and wipes. "Look it's not that hard."

After twenty minutes Steve smiled proudly his face covered in baby powder but James had a new nappy on.

Everyone was chuckling but Steve didn't care.

"Now clean yourself up." Natasha said throwing him a wipe. "Has he said his firsts words."

"Yes he's just 16 months."

"She's pissed cause I got his first words to be Clint."

"Well what does he like?" Steve asked curiously.

"Any food. Peppa pig which gets insanely annoying. He can't go sleep unless he's in this little onesie he had that Tony bought as a joke and he had to listen to voicemails off your voice to help sleep." She smiled a genuine smile.

"What onesie?"

"It's a captain America onesie it also has a little pillow decorated as your shield." Steve grinned.

"He's also got an iron man one." Tony butted in.

"Yes cause he needed an ego booster apparently." She shot at him gong rolled his eyes at her.

"Again I'm really sorry Natasha."

"Forget about it, right now James is your priority not me, he needs parents both of them something neither of us grew up with. You had your mum so follow her parenting skills she did great." She smiled he nodded laughing as James pulled at his hair.
