Chapter 11: the realization

NOBODY'S POV:

"Hey" lauren nudged Camila's shoulder. She had been quite most of the walk. She also walked behind the three who chatted a lot in front of her.

"Hey" camila gave her a soft smile before looking forwards so she wouldn't fall.

"Why are you so quiet?" Lauren asked calmly, glancing at her before looking forwards again.

Camila bit her lip. "Honestly no idea. I just don't feel like talking a lot today."

Lauren nodded "okay. Then tell me when ally is coming again? I missed her last time she flew in and I don't want to miss her again"

Camila looked over at her and smiled shyly "I'm sorry again."

"It's alright, cabello." Lauren chuckled, pulling Camila closer to her when she saw people about to walk into her.

Camila glanced at the people who just skimmed her arm before looking at lauren "thanks".

Lauren nodded before sliding her hand down into Camila's and rubbing her thumb over her hand. "Tell me how is your sister and your parents? Haven't seen them in a couple years so..." she shrugged scratching the back of her neck.

Camila chuckled at the slightly taller woman. Removing her hand from Lauren's, she tossed that arm over Lauren's shoulder and used her left arm to grab Lauren's left hand. Lauren brought her right hand up to interlock it with Camila's right hand. They always walked around like this, it was instinct for the two of them to just walk with their arms around each other and their hands together. Although lauren was taller than Camila now, but in high school it was cute seeing how lauren was always the small person in the relationship.

"She's all good. She's taller and way more mature now. I can't believe it honestly". Camila sighed out.

Lauren nodded "I wouldn't doubt it. She's just like you and your mom." Lauren chuckled. Her left hand on Camila's waist and the older women's hand right over hers.

Camila smiled. She looked forwards seeing dinah and normani stop and turn around to the two. "Look" dinah said showing her phone to the two couple.

"How the fuck did you take that!? We were looking at the two of you fucking walking weird just a few seconds ago!" Lauren said looking between the photo and the two girls who had taken it.

"Just like we did in high school. You can never catch us in the act" normani shrugged earning a high five from dinah.

"I swear you already work for the government" camila mumbled out with a huff. Lauren glanced over at her with a small smile.

"Oh that still exists?" Dinah asked looking around getting a shrug from normani "I forgot about it again".

"Jesus dinah" lauren laughed at the older girls words.

"Camila, come on. I wanna talk with you more" normani said grabbing Camila's hand and gragged her farther up away from lauren and dinah.

Lauren looked at dinah with a smile "can you send me that? And the other pictures I know you took of us the last couple times we've seen each other?"

Dinah scoffed "I have not-" she cut herself of seeing lauren with a raised eyebrow. "Damn it. You do fucking know me." As dinah sent pictures to lauren on her phone, lauren wrapped her arm around dinah's arm and helped her walk as the polynesian looked down at her phone.

"Tell me dinah, how is your family. Any new additions? How is your mom and dad?" Lauren asked wanting to know that the girls parents are okay. She hasn't seen them since their last day of high school where they had gone to pick up their kids.
