The next morning, Bonnie notices that winter has arrived in India. She then fetches a cup of tea and sits on the edge of the window. Her hands hug the cup for warmth. The icy breeze plays with her hair. Her sweatshirt coat shows her legs. She braces her feet with her white stockings on the wood. She closes her eyes and takes another sip of tea. Like someone waking up from a dream, she starts to hear screams coming from below.

— Bonnie! Get down here! — shouted Nandini.

—Damn...— whispered Bonnie.

Bonnie then changes clothes and goes to Nandini who is in the courtyard with the younger brothers. She holds a ball in her hands and hands it to Bonnie.

— What happened? Why did you call me? — said Bonnie with the ball in her hand.

— My father will come down shortly to play with the children. Getting close to the kids always works. I will stay in the garden. — Said Nandini.

Bonnie, a little apprehensive, starts to throw the ball to the kids. They play for a long time until Virendra comes down and is faced with the scene. Surprised, he approaches Nandini who was pretending to look at the garden.

— Where is Purvi? — he asked.

— I think she's helping make lunch. She makes a point of leaving the food exactly as you want it. — Said Nandini.

— I will go up. I think the kids are having enough fun. — said Virendra.

— No! My brothers are waiting for you on time, play with them. Don't be bothered by Bonnie's presence. She doesn't bite. — insisted Nandini.

— I'll go up... — Virendra said, rolling her eyes.

— Dad! Come play with us! Let's play spin. And Bonnie needs a pair.— said Juhi pulling her father by the arm.

Virendra is disconcerted as his young daughter takes him to Bonnie. Both look scared. Juhi innocently joins their hands.

— You must hold it in your hands. And turn. The last to fall wins the game! — said Juhi excitedly.

Embarrassed Virendra feels Bonnie's icy hands between his. Afraid of scaring the kids, he holds the girl's hand tightly and avoids eye contact with her at all costs. Juhí and Manas begin to spin. Bonnie and Virendra do the same.

The sight of Bonnie in front of him literally makes him dizzy. The world revolving around him makes him focus on every detail of the girl's face. Her black hair, the shape of her mouth. The smell coming from her hair. All so different. But so similar. In slow motion Virendra sees Bonnie's hand slip from his. As if he lost her forever. Both fall into a sitting position, one to each side.

— Dad! You lost! — Said Juhi laughing.

Dizzy Virendra crawls over to Bonnie. She notices his hand touching her wrist. A show of concern? Or just something he would do for anyone?
