Chapter 14

Francine's POV

Kasalukuyan akong nakaupo sa buhangin dito sa dagat. Pinagmamasdan ang mga alon, pinapakiramdaman ang cold breeze. It's been a while, and namiss ko talaga ang dagat. The sun is about to rise, and paint the color of the sky.

The wind blew cold, and I felt so light when it hits my skin. Sobrang nakaka-relax.

"Chin!" Napalingon ako sa tawag saken ni Papa.

Tumayo ako at lumapi sakanya.

"Bakit po, Tay?" Tanong ko.

"May naghahanap sayo." Sagot naman saken ni Papa.

Then I look past him, and my eyes widened when I saw Kyle in his white shirt, and khaki shorts. He looks so good.

"Kyle?" Napatanong ako na sinuklian nya lang ng ngiti.

Ang aga aga pa, bakit andito sya?

"Salamat, Tay." Sabi ko bago puntahan si Kyle.

Lumapit ako kay Kyle, and his smile, I swear to God.

"Oh, ang aga mo naman ata?" Tanong ko.

"Ah, I got bored sa villa." Sagot nya. "Tsaka I'm here to unwind diba."

Ngumiti na lang ako sakanya, sabay aya. "Tara, lakad tayo."

We then started walking by the shore. Nagtapak na lang kami pareho kase fine naman ang sand dito samin, hindi masakit sa paa.

Walking side by side with him makes me feel relaxed, na para bang walang problema sa mundo. Para bang kaming dalawa lang ang nandito.

"Nakaka-relax, no?" Kyle broke the silence.

Napatingin ako sakanya just to see na nakatingin na pala sya saken. His eyes are so wonderful, I can see the stars in it. At the same time, nakita ko ang kislap ng lungkot.

"Oo, tama ka." I finally answered with a small smile. "Kaya nga gustong gusto ko umuuwi once in a while."

We finally stopped walking, and decided na maupo sa sand, facing the body of water. Malamig pa din ang simoy ng hangin, maybe because December na. Just a few more weeks bago ang Pasko.

"Uuwi ka ba ng Manila for Christmas?" Tingin ko kay Kyle.

"No." He shrugged. "I might celebrate the Holiday here."

"Ha?" Tanong ko. "E sinong kasama mo?"

"Ako lang." Sagot nya. "Seth, and Blythe will be here sa New Year though."

I reached for his hand, and held it. Not minding na medyo nagulat sya, but his face soften quickly. He held me back with a little smile.

"You can celebrate Christmas with us kung gusto mo." I offered. "Alam mo naman na bahay ko e."

Napansin kong napaisip si Kyle, siguro nahihiya din.

"I insist, Kyle." Ngiti ko sakanya.

He then smiled back. "Sige, I'll see you then."

We sat a little longer in the sand, with the cool breeze brushing our skins. I feel in peace na kasama sya, I feel contented.

Kyle's POV

I just got back home dito sa villa. Spending the morning with Francine definitely made my day better, iba ang saya, at gaan ng loob ko pag kasama sya.

"Kyle!" A familiar voice called, and lumingon ako to see Seth with a big smile on his face.
