Tenko whispered softly, tears staining his eyes and his voice weak, scared and traumatized by the nightmare he had

the child knocked softly on the door a few times, clutching the red airplane toy in his chest

(m/n), being the light sleeper he is, woke up and opened the door

Tenko's ear perked up by the sound of the creaking door, his body almost falling to the ground up if it weren't for (m/n) catching him

"Boy, what are you doing up this late huh?"

(M/n) spoke up, holding tenko protectively in his chest, his voice hoarse and rough after just waking up

"I.. i had a nightmare.. i know it sounds silly but-"

"Shh..."

Tenko was cut off by the man holding him, holding himself back from wailing into his arms

"If you have any discomfort, don't hesitate to call me brat, now, about your nightmare, you wanna talk about it?"

(M/n) spoke, gently moving tenko's bangs from covering his eyes and wiping his tears softly

"No.."

"That's alright, wanna stay with me till your nightmare's gone?"

(M/n) coax the child, patting his head and taking the airplane gently from him to not hurt his chest from clutching into it so harshly

"Yes please.."

Tenko mumbled hoarsely, burrying his face into the man's chest, smelling the comforting natural scent from the male

(M/n) nodded and closed the door, approaching the bed and lays the boy gently on the soft matress

Adjusting his laying position so he'll be comforrable and drapes the blanket on the child's body before sitting down himself
