Today was my first day at Lakeside High School in Maine. I finally got to move in with my best friend after my parents disowned me since I came out as lesbian. I thought they would be happy for me. My best friend, Lauren, and her mom, Alycia, we're some of the only ones who supported me.
"Okay, have a good day girls!" Alycia said, giving us our lunchboxes that we almost forgot.
"Thanks Mom." Lauren said.
"Thank you for everything" I walked out the door to the bus.
Lauren and I ran to the bus laughing because she almost tripped.
"Oh do we have someone new here?" The bus driver said.
"Oh yeah that's Ellie," Lauren sat down in an open seat.
