my heart is like a dagger
sharp and deadly jeweled
i wish to leave you unscathed
without a scratch
or draw of blood
but come to close
and i may leave you broken
kneeling down
and hurt

forming a clean metal
the knife is sharp
but the handle is not
there is always a safe spot
for you to grip and keep hold of
