It wasn't even 24 hours after the engagement when the media found out and leaked their engagement photos to the public, turning all eyes at them both. Thanks to her cousin, Frederica and Alverstoke could breathe a little bit free from the reporters who stayed in front of her house for two days. The bodyguards that she sent her made her relieved. It's time to face the master, her father, who must've been waiting for this day.
To meet his future in-law who had caused problems and uproar. Frederica helped him to dress, a semi-formal one. She also wore her dress. The white dress Alverstoke gave to her days ago.
"Are you nervous, sweetheart?" she asked him. Alverstoke nodded. "I am nervous, darling. I may be fifty, but this is my first time asking a man older than me for his blessing," he replied. He then kissed her lips a couple of times before he smiled.
"I mean, it's okay as long as it is for you. I'll do anything for you," he added before he circled his hand around her waist, closing the house main door and walked into the car together.
Uncle Lee had been waiting inside the car for the couple. He was off for two days due to the chaotic situation. Frederica sat beside him, and he holds her hands tight. Not even once his eyes were off from her. He looked at her lovingly, as if she was a beautiful diamond—even more than that. "Uncle Lee, took us to papa's home please," she commanded.
He nodded his head while looking at them from the rear-view mirror before he stepped on the gas and drove the car away from her home sweet home. As the car getting closer to the house where her parents were, the more the couple stared at each other in nervous.
She could already imagine the worst thing that could happen to both of them. It appears suddenly in the news across the globe, starting from a rumor to a big 'scandal'.
Yes, a scandal for him and the Items. Also, her mother's reaction. She knew exactly how big her love for Alverstoke as a fan for the past years. She told her once via text message that she'll be marrying him, but she didn't believe her. Fre could laugh when she saw her face later, but with her father around? Uh— no.
Not even once she would laugh, the car stopped in front of the mansion. The mansion where the family lived. She stepped out of the car, with hands still holding Alverstoke's. Taking a deep breath before they pushed the bell button near the door.
It only took a minute less until the door was opened just for them. She looked at him, who's now getting more and more nervous than before. She smiled at him and landed a kiss on his cheek.
"Sweetheart, you can do it. Everything will be okay. I'll be here beside you," she said calmly. That word became his only strength. His only will to continue all of this and face the main obstacle; the blessing from her parents. He followed where Frederica guided him into.
The half-century-old man smiled and bowed when he saw two people sitting on the family room's sofa. "Papa, mama, I'm sorry for the chaos. The past two days were really hard for us, so we weren't able to visit you. They camped outside the house," she started the talk.
Frederica kissed her father's cheek, as well as her mother, who was shocked to see her favourite actor, now standing in front of her, as her future in-law. Anastasia smiled warmly at them while Hansen showed his stern face, causing her heart to beat uncontrollably.
"Papa, mama, this is Alverstoke Destler. Lee Byung-hun. The man that you heard again and again since the news broke out.." she holds his hand and let Alverstoke talked to them directly.
"Uh.. hello, I'm Alverstoke Destler. I'm here to talk with you and ask for your blessing. I'm here to propose your daughter and marry her formally," he said nervously. Hansen Biancardi gave him a sharp stare, causing Alverstoke to become more and more nervous than before.
