Bella looked as everyone was confused and was waiting for something. Marcus looked up. The battle was over. He was the only one standing on his side.

"Marcus Volturi, awake?" Bella asked as she kept looking at him.

"Why not kill me too?" He asked her.

"It is too much trouble to find another coven to keep vampires in check. We don't like this ruling responsibility and all that. You can keep managing the vampire world. You will be the only King from now on." Bella replied. "But of course it comes with conditions."

"I can't live on. Aro killed my mate."

"We both know she wasn't your true mate. If I can promise you, that you will meet your mate in the future, will you agree to continue living and my conditions?" Alice asked. she was still talking in Bella's stead. There was hope shining in his eyes at the mention of his mate.

The conditions were very simple. He will not hold the sole power over everyone. A council was to be established to make this a little more democratic and helpful for all the vampires and their safety. He agreed. It wasn't logical to think he can rule this world alone either. He would need help sometimes and someone to keep the power from getting to his head some other times.

Bella had to work very hard as clean up to cover the tracks Edward and Maria left all on their way to Forks. Killing indiscriminately, not hiding evidence and all. She had to use the very few connections she had because of her dad in the force and lead them into believing the false proofs she had to create and leave behind.

Marcus became the sole King of the Vampire world. And as they agreed and because no one wanted to make the same mistake again, they established a council, to counsel Marcus and to make any major decisions in the future. They even had a process established to select future council members. But at present, there was Isabella, Alice, Carlisle, Jasper and Peter on the council; Five members, so there could be a tie breaker if ever a decision was to be made. It also helped to keep the power in any one person's hands in check.

It was very profitable and helpful having the council to help Marcus. Having two seers who could complement each other's gifts, Peter, Carlisle, who was wise and a voice of reason and Jasper who was an empath and a war veteran, they could cover almost any type of situation which required a council gathering.

Marcus met his true mate nearly a century after his rule was established. Arianna was a very lovely person and complimented Marcus in every way. He was glad that Bella didn't lie about his mate and also glad for being able to shake off Aro and Chelsea's influence. He always gets so furious when he thinks of how Aro used Chelsea's gift to keep him complacent and agreeable to his every suggestion to get his way.

Whenever he looked at Arianna, he was glad that Didyme was not his true mate and his true mate didn't appear when Aro was still around or he wouldn't have hesitated to kill her as well, just like he killed Didyme.

Alice, Leo, Peter, Char, Bella and Jasper travelled together most of the time. But they would break off into pairs every decade or so for a year or two for some privacy with their mate. Emmett, Rose, Carlisle and Esme too had a similar agreement. They stayed and travelled together for a while and split up for private time with their mates. 

Where ever they were, they always visited Esme once a year for Christmas, on her insistence and also cause they loved the motherly vampire so much.

Bella also visited the pack every once in a while. And after a decade or so, they understood that as long as the wolves kept shifting their mates wouldn't age either. They would stay human, but their aging stopped just like the shifters'.

Jacob also found his mate finally. Sophia was a very bubbly, fun loving girl, who get along with everyone as soon as she met them. Everyone loved her just as equally. Bella was so happy for her friend, he finally met his imprint.

(Whatever you have to say, I don't wanna listen to it. In my story, the imprints don't age until the wolves stopped shifting either.)

Bella loved her life now. She had Jasper beside her and whatever may come, she would live through it all as long as she had Jasper.

"What is my Love thinking about so deeply?" Jasper asked Bella as he pulled her towards him. She curled up into him, comfortably lay her head back on his shoulder and looked up at him with love shining in her eyes. "About how lucky I was to meet you, have you in my life, how I want to spend the rest of eternity just two of us; how I wouldn't be able to live without you."

She looked up at the stars after she answered. "I love you Jasper. And I want to keep telling you, showing you how much I love you for the rest of our lives."

"I love you too Isabella. I want to spend the rest of eternity to spend the nights under the stars and days curled up around each other in front of a fire."
