first version is edited and the second is original, idk which one i liked more so i decided to post both. and yes for those wondering, i continue to live in my self-made fantasy world where Six never dropped Mono in the Tower and they're both happy and okay and living their best lives murdering people and being gremlins. those things might seem contradictory but trust me they're not.
the point is, why in the FUCK would they do that. Mono straight up dying would legit be a kinder ending. that ending would still be horrible for a multitude of reasons (mostly, obviously, Mono dying and Six losing her second friend to a tragic demise) but like. still. i get it from a narrative and thematic stand point and the angst demon in my brain loves it, but please. it's still so upsetting to me.
