Katsuki woke the next morning unsure of what he was going to do about Deku. He really wanted to see the nerd and apologize for scaring him. Dr. Todoroki had told him to keep his temper in check as much as he could with Deku. If Mika was called again, it would be all over for sure.
He barely got any work done that day. He relied heavily on his team to pick the slack. For once the app was working smoothly, thanks to Deku's improvements. If he hadn't been interested in the greenette he would have asked him if he wanted a full time job. Skills like Deku's are hard to find.
"You're so jumpy today boss. You feeling ok?" Denki asked, concern on his face.
"I'm gonna see Deku today, and I'm not sure if he'll slam the door in my face or invite me in".
"Deku isn't the slam the door type of person" Denki noticed the blonde biting his nails looking off into the distance. "Hey Bakugo..I'm not sure if I should be telling you this, but Deku like you. A lot. He''ll hear you out. Trust me".
The blonde stopped mid bite and looked over at Denki, hope in his eyes. "He does? How do you know?".
"I asked him this morning. He was smiling because Mika came home early last night. He didn't have a hangover and" Denki blushed " his ass didn't hurt".
Katsuki flopped down on his couch and felt relief at those words. Deku liked him. He might actually have a chance. He didn't care to think about the other part too much. Yes, he was happy that Mika didn't sleep with anyone last night, but she probably would soon.
"Thanks Denks. I'm useless here today. I think I'm gonna head out. I want to buy a chocolate cake for Deku. You know of any good bakeries?".
"Angela's Bakery has the best pastries and cakes. They are about a 10 minute drive from here".
Katsuki googled Angela's Bakery and it popped up with many 5 star reviews. His eyes lit up as he smiled at his friend. "Thanks Denki. I'm gonna head over there right now".
"Good luck, Bakugo!" Denki shouted as Katsuki left his office in a hurry.
Deku must have read Mika's diary entry 20 times. Katsuki had wanted to meet to apologize to Mika. To explain why he had yelled at Deku. He felt a stab of pain when he read that Katsuki had asked if she would like to date him, but relieved that Mika had blown him off. His cheeks burned reading about his sister trying yet again to sleep with their therapist. Dr. Todoroki is handsome, smart, and yes, even sexy, but Deku knew there is a line that should never be crossed with one's therapist.
Deku opened the fridge, scanning the contents, looking for something that looked good. He didn't have much of an appetite these days. The greenette wanted to find an excuse to see Katsuki again. He wanted to clear the air and see where he stood with the blonde.
"Nothing looks good!" He huffed closing the fridge.
"You want me to whip something up real quick, Deku?" Kiri asked picking his head into the kitchen.
"Do we have ingredients for Katsudon?".
"No, but I can go get some. It wouldn't take me long. I just need to buy more rice. The rest I have".
"You're the best, Kiri!" He smiled fondly at his best friend.
Kiri gave him a big toothy grin back. "I aim to please". He grabbed his keys and opened the door, yelping in surprise.
"What's wrong, Kiri?!" Deku ran out, freezing at the sight of his dream guy standing in the doorway holding flowers and a dessert box.
"Katsuki! What are you doing here?".
