Prologue
Honey Jacobs was nothing like her family. She was kind, quiet, and smart. She and I were best friends before I went to rehab. She and Lexi were there for me when my dad passed.
I was also there for her when her dad or Nate would yell at her. or if her mom would say something about her. Honey's home life wasn't the best emotionally. Her father thought if he put money in her hand she'd be happy, she wasn't. She just wanted a good father-daughter relationship but that was the one thing he couldn't give her.
Now, Nate, Nate was an amazing big brother to Honey. He may have been a real dick to others but to Honey, he was a saint. Some think they are secretly fucking, like incest.
Me, I've seen the relationship first hand and in reality, Nate just wants to protect her from her father. See Honey doesn't know who her father really is, Nate does and he will do anything in his power to stop her father from ever laying a finger on Honey.
