Driven, ambitious, WarriorKing for most of his life and also Dragoon of the Kingdom, his friendship with both his lover and this one's older sister, Queen Melanie Van Hook, made it very easy for him to accomplish what had been his grandmother's dream: granting the Rostand Family the status of nobility.

That is not to say that he neglected his family - while very busy, Nivyen made it a point to regularly speak with his children, never looking to demand more of them than what they could give. a part of that could be landed at his parents' feet: Zidane was never content with his level, despite being WarriorKing, and Dana was too busy with her comissions to ever spend any impactful deal of time with him during his childhood.

Nivyen was mostly raised by his four grandparents, with Rafita and Narcissa taking great merit in the accomplished General he later became.
