One for Her

When the morning comes,
Will she be there to save my day?
Toiling such that my life be not like hers
But I wish I'd be like her.
As brave as one in the book,
Our homes' foundation
A life worthy of worshipping.
Not a soul who picture the stars daily
But don't you think they are like Sirius?
That shines the brightest.

When darkness greets the home
And she's taken away,
Her presence shall remain.
To forget would be inconceivable.
Lessons well enlightened
Then I shall recall and learn.
The search for love that eclipses hers
Ended to never continue.

In the end, half and a half of halves
Of love and respect, she earned
For her unconditional sacrifices
"Your motherhood will be the answer
For these countless queries of my life"
My mother said.
