one

she wasn't very pretty

 on the outside,

maybe she was

just that it

was hard to notice.

but inside her,

flowers blossomed and bloomed.

and the first time she saw trouble

too late to run

he was already in the room.

she wasn't noticed at first,

of course she wasn't,

she wasn't pretty

not at first sight.

because pretty boys noticed pretty girls first.

she was silently brilliant,

but do people notice silent things?

only at the end

did he notice and walked straight up,

and teased her about her

utter silence

he had no right to!

no one could judge someone else without a good reason!

and she returned his favour.
