'It's been 50 years that Alec and I been together, but then he died. There was a funeral and everything and I wanted to go away from New York. I reminded me to much of Alec, my children wanted to stay in New York, they told me that they are a portal away. Even my grandchildren wanted to stay and told to they would visit when they can. Even my father stayed where he was, but he would visit me sometimes as I went to Mystic Falls, they say that there was vampires, werewolves and witches. The different kind and I want to know what this is all about.'

Marley walked into the hallway from the school and applied to be a student there. "Your records are incomplete. You're missing immunization records, and we do insist on transcripts." The Secretary told her.

"Oh." Marley secretly waved with her hands. "Look again, I'm sure there is everything in that you need."

The Secretary nodded. "Well, you're right." Then she handed her the papers for Marley's classes and a locker.

"Thank you." Marley thanked her as then she walked out of the office and went to her new locker. She heard whispers from around her, but she didn't care as then she arrived by her locker. Then she put stuff in her locker and went to class.

--------------------------------------------

After classes she went to the Mystic Grill, to grab some food. There she met Bonnie Bennett, she's in her class as well. "Hello."

"Hey." Marley greeted her.

"You are Marley Miller, right?" Bonnie asked to her.

Marley nodded. "Yes, that's me." She replied. "And you are?"

"Bonnie Bennett." Bonnie replied to her.

"Oh, yeah, from class." Marley nodded.

"Yes, that's me." Bonnie nodded.

Marley smiled. "Okay."

"So, you are new right?" Bonnie asked.

Marley nodded. "Yeah."

"Okay, not many new people come here." Bonnie told her. "Its a quiet town."

"Yeah, I have noticed that." Marley nodded. "But I like quiet, my father and I wanted to move from New York to Mystic Falls, he told me this is just what we need." She lied a bit, but Bonnie didn't noticed.

Bonnie noticed her sad face. "What happened?" She asked. "If you don't mind me asking."

"I lost someone close to me." Marley replied to her. "My father said moving away is the best thing to deal with grief."

"I'm sorry for your loss." Bonnie told her, seriously.

"Thank you." Marley nodded.

"Did you make other friends, yet?" Bonnie asked to her.

"Not yet." Marley replied to her. "You are the first one."

"Okay, then you need to meet Elena and Caroline, they are my friends." Bonnie comment.

"Okay." Marley nodded.

After that she met them, but didn't like them one bit, she only liked Bonnie. She could basically feel something coming of her, like magic.

Later, Marley went back home, it's a small house. It's good for her, but she misses Alec, then she cried, looking at a photo of him. "It's no fair." Tears were streaming down her face. "Why do I get to live the immortally live?" Her cat eyes were showing as she cried and she cried a lot that evening.

Then she heard the prophesy, in a male voice:

When true love dies, another will take a stand

With eyes so blue and a mark that lay upon their heart

A soulmate with hair as dark as the night sky

But the cost of love must play its part

For while every story has a beginning and an end

Full of true love and a soulmate

They only hope for a single child

Though their game of life hinges on fate

When a clever thinking woman can stand in their way

But they can make it, they can have a happy ending, an immortal, happy ending

"Alec." She whispered, recognising the voice, making her cry even harder, until she fell asleep.
