Chapter 11

ABoogie POV

I have decided to propose to Zaria, therefore, I planned a romantic dinner date at the Museum of Modern Art. We will have dinner then walk around the museum.

I'm currently standing in front of the limo that is in front of her house. I already texted her to come outside. She comes outside looking gorgeous as hell.

"Wow. You look gorgeous. I'm so honored to have you on my arm. *A Boogie

"Aww. Thanks. You look handsome. *Zaria

"Thanks. Shall we? *A Boogie

I open the limo door for her and she goes into the limo.

*Skips Car Ride

Now we are at the museum and looking around.

"This art is so beautiful.

"Yea but the art in front of me is so much better.

Zaria is in front of me so she blushes.

"You are so corny and I love it. *Zaria

We both smile

"Well, you are going to love this artwork. *A Boogie

"Omg, did you get your work displayed?

"Come on, you will see. Close your eyes and extend your hand.

She does what I ask and I lead her to my painting.

We stand in front of it and I take a deep breath.

"Okay, open your eyes.

She opens her eyes and gasp

"Omg! Yes, a million times yes.

"I love you so much and I can't wait to be your husband.

I put the ring on her finger and she tongues me down.

"Baby, don't start before I give the security guard a show.

She laughs

"Let's go back to your place and celebrate. *Zaria

" Nah, I got a nice hotel room for us. *A Boogie

"Oh really, let's go. *Zaria

*Next Day

Zaria POV

I wake up next to my future hubby and I just stare at the ring. I can't believe I'm going to be his wife.

I get up to use the bathroom. I use the toilet and then wash my face plus brush my teeth. I wonder what my future husband wants for breakfast, let me wake him up.

"Alex.

I call him then get close to the bed.

"Oh my God!!

I rush to the hotel phone and call 911.

Ace POV

Alex Kirkland, the artist that recently got engaged to Zaria has died two weeks ago. And of course, Zaria is an emotional mess to barely go outside. Chef Alex has been getting his delivery man to bring Zaria food. And I follow her at night when she decides to go out on a walk to the Brooklyn Bridge. I'm worried that one day she might jump off it.

Like tonight, she is just staring at the water, and honestly, it makes me nervous.

"You might as well come over here instead of staring at me like a creeper. *Zaria

The white couple next to her looks confused and I laugh. I walk to her and now we are side by side.

"My life is not fair. I'm been waiting and searching for my soulmate. I got tired and decide to fall in love with someone that isn't my soulmate. I thought I was going to get my happily ever after but boom he dies. That car hitting him messed up his head that caused his brain to slowly bleed. I woke up to my fiancee dead next to me! I will never get over that. *Zaria

" I know but whatever suicidal thoughts you have, Alex wouldn't want you to act on them. *Ace

"I know but I don't know what to do anymore. I feel like I'm drowning. *Zaria

"Well, it's time for therapy because a feisty woman once told me that therapy heals. Maybe you can join a grief support group.*Ace

"Was this feisty woman me? Because I don't remember that. *Zaria

"Nah. It was my mom and Melinda.

She laughs

" I finally took their advice and Chef Alex. I broke up with Melinda and started therapy. I only had 3 sessions but it has been good so far. My therapist knows a lot of therapists so he can hook you up with someone.

"You really care about huh or is this about pussy? Because I honestly my pussy is good but it ain't stalk me good. Or maybe it is and I just know it.

I laugh

" I really care about Zaria so does Chef Alex, just let us be there for you.

"Okay.* Zaria

* Month Later

At Alex Restaurant

"So Zaria is your soulmate? *Chef Alex

We are sitting at a table in the back while the crew closes up

"I guess, I only have initials and it matches.

"Why didn't you say something?

"Cause I'm a dumb ass with baggage. And I didn't put two and two together at first, till I found out who her soulmate name was. *Ace

"So are you ever going to tell her? *Chef Alex

"She grieving and probably will for a while.

"True but life is short. What if she meets someone else or something happens or if she leaves. *Chef Alex

" I want her to be happy and I doubt she looks at me like that. I don't deserve her and I'm not like that other Alex. I can't and will not compete with a ghost.

"Okay, I get it. But I still think you should let her know.

Narrator POV

"That light skin goofy nigga is dead so it's a perfect time to get my girl. Bring Zaria to me. States Alex, the former lawyer

"Okay, boss.

Yes, Alex- the former lawyer wasn't caught by the cops. He flees and lets the model Alex, get arrested.

He still wants Zaria and Zaria has no idea, what is about to happen.
