"IF SOMEONE hands you a crying baby, do you, A. curse it? B. lock it in a tower? C. give it a bottle? or D. carve out its heart?" Fairy Godmother asked us all.
I was sat behind Mal and Evie, bored out of my mind. Because I was behind Mal, Godmother wouldn't be able to see me very much like the others. So, I was reading a book under my desk.
Evie raised her hand high. "Evie!"
"What was the second one?" She asked and we all looked at her thinking she was stupid or at least that's what I kinda thought.
"Oh. Okay. Anyone else? Mal?" She pointed to her.
Mal looked up, twirling a strand of hair in her hand. "C, give it a bottle."
"Correct, again." Fairy Godmother smiled warmly.
"You are on fire, girl!" Carlos commented, making me chuckle.
"Just pick the one that doesn't sound like any fun." She furrowed her brows as if it was obvious.
"Oh.." They exclaimed finally understanding Mal's method.
"Ah.. That makes so much sense." Evie commented.
"Incoming." I coughed fakely, seeing a girl in a baby blue dress.
The girl squealed as she passed us, running a bit quicker, holding a clipboard in her arms.
"Hello, dear one." Our teacher greeted the girl.
"Hi. You need to sign off on early dismissal for the coronation." She said, glancing back at us. I'll assume she was scared of us, she should be. It's not like any of us have never killed somebody.
"Everyone here remembers my daughter, Jane?" The headmistress asked us.
"Mom, no!" Jane whispered, that confirms my theory.
"It's okay. Jane, this is everyone." Fairy Godmother turned her around, forcing her to look at us and pushing her along.
"Hi. That's okay, don't mind me, as you were." She then ran past us, squealing again.
I rolled my eyes, snickering at her fear of us. I could get used to this.
Godmother cleared her throat, "Let's continue. you find a vial of poison. Do you, A. put it in the kin's wine? B. paint it on an apple? Or C, turn it over to the proper authorities?"
The three, Carlos, Jay, and Evie, all raised their hands up after hearing C. Jay held down Carlos's hand though.
"Jay." She smiled pointing her stick at him.
"C. You turn it over to the proper authorities." He replied, throwing away his hand.
Carlos slapped his arm. "I was gonna say that!"
"But I said it first!" Jay spat in his face and wrapped an arm around his neck and rubbed his head harshly with a fist. "Come here! Come on, who said it first? Who said it first?"
"Stop!" Carlos yelled and our teacher tapped her pointer loudly against the podium.
"Jay. Jay!" I yelled, looking up from my book and he looked back at me, over his shoulder. "Get off him." I rolled my eyes.
He sighed slowly and hesitantly lifting himself off Carlos's chest.

Right now I was in chemistry with Evie, and soon enough our last class had ended. I picked up my bag and wrapped the strap over my shoulder, grabbing my notebook and storing it away. I left the class not needing to wait for Evie because she had something to do with Chad I believe, to be honest, he seemed like a total ass. Being royal and shit made him selfish, which is why I was hesitant to let Evie go.
I headed to my locker and opened it, shoving my books inside. Once I was finished with that, I closed the door and saw Ben leaning on a locker behind.
"Hey, Ben. Need something?" I asked, intrigued.
"Yes, actually." He smiled.
"Shoot." I cocked a brow.
"I need your help with Carlos, we're practising sprinting today and I need you to create an illusion of a dog." He explained.
"But he's scared of them, Ben." I sighed reminding him.
"I know, but I promise it'll help him!" He reasoned.
"Yeah, because it scares him! You should hear the things Cruella tells him about dogs. He didn't want to come here because of dogs!" I groaned.
"Well, we also need to help him get over that fear." He smiled charmingly, but I could see he was doubting that I would help.
"Fine. But only for Carlos." I groaned, pinching the bridge of my nose. "I need to change and so do you, I'll meet you out on the field in 10."
"Thank you, Jinx. See you!" He thanked me genuinely, walking away.
I let out a shaky, long breath and walked back to my dorm. I took off my jeans and jacket, and switched to some sweatpants. I also tied my hair into a ponytail with some hairs falling out to frame my face.

The next thing I know, I'm out on the field sitting on the bleachers watching Ben and Carlos. In Carlos's head, I'm just here and bored reading a book with my bag.
Ben gave me a thumbs up telling me to create the illusion now, but I already saw a dog, a real one. Uh oh. I guess Ben just thought the pet was my illusion of Dude, which is why he acted normal. Carlos started to run but never stopped and ran into the forest.
I met Dude this morning, he followed me to Chemistry and I took a moment to pet the little guy and stuff.
"Carlos? Carlos!" I heard Ben yell. I shoved my novel into my bag and started to follow the two into the forest.
About 2 minutes later, I'm in the woods looking up at Carlos who was clinging to a tree and Ben looked up at him.
"This thing is a killer! He's gonna chase me down and rip out my throat." Carlos accused Dude, pointing a finger, while I bend down to pick him up. "This is a vicious, rabid pack animal!"
"Hey, who told you that?" Ben asked, like I didn't tell him 'You should hear the things Cruella tells him about dogs.' 20 minutes ago!
"My mother." He stated still up there.
"Cruella?" Ben kind of repeated.
"No, Maleficent. Of course, Cruella!" I scoffed, whacking his shoulder.
"She's a dog expert. A dog yeller. Why are you holding him, Jinx!? He's gonna attack you!" Carlos yelled at me.
"Carlos, it's a dog. It can't possibly kill me." I denied him, petting Dude softly.
"Dude, meet Carlos. Carlos, this is Dude." Ben introduced the, to each other.
"He's the campus mutt." I smiled, kissing his fur.
"He doesn't look like a vicious rabid pack animal." The white-haired boy commented, letting go of the tree and climbing down.
"No one said he was." I chuckled, scratching Dude's head and fluffing up his hair.
"Jeez. You're a good boy, aren't you?" He cooed, reaching a hand out and rubbing his neck.
I passed him over to Carlos and he held him with ease. "You're a good boy." He continued giggling.
"I guess you guys have it pretty rough on the Island." Ben realized.
"Yeah, the other four have had it the worst. Their parents aren't the nicest people around town." I sighed.
"Listen, I'm gonna give you guys some space, yeah?" The prince told us and we nodded.
"Alright, we'll see you later." I waved and watched him jog off into the distance.
