Chapter twenty one

THIRD person POV

Anthony finally came to his senses and saw what he had done was wrong on so many levels. Leaving his pregnant girlfriend alone just after finding out about it was a shitty move and he realised he had to go and apologise. Yeah sure he did not expect her to fall pregnant but that did not mean he had to say the things he said to her. He got in his car and started driving to Lucy's place.

Parking his car someone who was checking the coast for Mr Gwaze saw him and alerted Mr Gwaze and Tracy who were still inside Lucy's apartment that Anthony was coming. Mr Gwaze and Tracy panicked and left through the fire escape path so that they could go unnoticed. They also used the fire escape route to get in Lucy's apartment too. They reached the car and it drove away.

Anthony knocked on Lucy's door but received no answer so he let himself in. "Lucy, are you home?" he shouted when he was in the living room. Receiving no answer he progressed into the kitchen only to find a horrifying scene in front of him. Both Lucy and Mickey were unconscious on the floor with Mickey bleeding. Anthony quickly took his phone out and called the ambulance but he was put on hold since all the lines were busy. He hanged up his phone and one by one picked up Lucy then Mickey and put them in his car and drove them to the hospital. Both Lucy and Mickey were taken to emergency rooms for observation and all the stuff that needed to be done to them to ensure their recovery.

Mr Gwaze, Tracy and the other guy made it to his cottage. They were all shaken up with the fact that they almost got caught trying to kidnap Lucy. Tracy was furious to the fact that now Anthony was with Lucy. She did not care that Lucy was going to tell the cops about her involvement with the attempted kidnapping. Tracy had already cooked up a sob story that was going to only get her a slap on the wrist for her involvement.

"What is your plan now? You failed to kidnap her Tim. What are you going to do? She saw your face. She is going to tell the cops plus you escaped from the holding cell. You are fucked bro." The other person said freaking out about the whole situation. Lucky for him no one knew about his involvement so if either Tracy nor Mr Gwaze were to mention him he was just going to deny it leaving it as their word against his. Mr Gwaze was calm about getting caught because he knew that at the end he was going to get Lucy come hell or high water.

"I suggest you all go home and I will continue with the plan on my own. And if one of you ever mention my location to the police I will make sure you won't live to tell the tale of being a snitch" Mr Gwaze spat. The other guy and Tracy left while Mr Gwaze started thinking about ways on how to get Lucy.

Meanwhile Lucy has woken up and was telling the cops about what had happened at her apartment. "So Mr Gwaze is working with Tracy?" detective Styne asked. Lucy nodded. After taking both Lucy and Mickey's statements she left and went to the police station.

Anthony entered Lucy's hospital room with flowers in his hand. Lucy glared at him not knowing what to say or feel about what Anthony has said to her. She knew that he regretted everything he has said to her but she still felt hurt about the things he said.

"Hi"

"Hey"

"I guess you're mad at me and I don't blame you. Look Lucy I didn't mean what I said to you. I was just not prepared for you to be preg.." he said.

"You were not prepared? Are you hearing yourself right now? What about me? Huh? Do you think I was prepared to have a baby growing inside me? Anthony do you possibly think I knew I was going to fall pregnant? I didn't! You left me when I needed you the most. You were supposed to stay. You were supposed to hold me and tell me that everything was going to be okay. That I was not alone. What the fuck did you do? You left....." Lucy shouted at him tearing up.
