Katy wanted to introduce a guy to Jack, Gus, Howard, and me.
She was now 20.
"Can you be nice, Dad?"
I clicked the shotgun in place.
"Send him in."
"I really think you're gonna like him, Dad."
"Nobody is ever gonna be good enough for his baby, Katy." Nell told her.
"That's why I've kept him hidden from you for two years."
"Did you know?"
"No. She didn't say a word to me. She'd know I'd tell you."

I walked outside.
I got in the passenger seat of Killian's blue Ford truck.
"It's not too late. You can back out."
"You've met my parents, siblings, friends, and been where I live multiple times over the past two years despite wanting to back out the first time. It's time for me to meet your parents, brother, friends, and finally see the place that created the beautiful woman in front of me."
"You're so cheesy."
"One of the things you love about me."
Killian laughed as I put his black Cowboy hat on his head.
"And finally meet that Mustang of yours that you won't shut up about."
He reached in the back.
I laughed as Killian put my tan/white Cowboy hat on my head.
It's a Cowboy hat since the shape is different than a Cowgirl hat.
"It's now or never."
"Yup."
"You are the first guy I'm ever introducing to my father. So..."
"I've got a lot to live up to it."
"Mm-hmm."
"You're just trying to make me back out of it."
"Maybe."
"Nothing you say will get me to change my mind."
"What if I told you the shotgun next to Dad is fully loaded?"
"Not even that."
"Fine. Let's go."
We got out of his truck.
We shut the doors.
Killian grabbed my hand.
I interlocked our fingers.
I opened the front door.

The front door was opened.
Katy walked in with some male.
She had her white/tan Cowboy hat on her head.
He had a black Cowboy hat on his head.
"This is my friend, Jack. Jack, this is Killian."
"You break her heart, you're gonna regret it."
"Nice to meet you too."
"This is my friend, Gus. Gus, this is Killian."
Gus stared at him.
