Miko's Pov
I wasn't too positive on how much time had rushed by with the night battle falling into the sky. The red hues were enough for anyone to look in horror at the destruction left behind. Demons really did leave a lot of ruin in their wake. The two girls had rushed off fast back down the path once the sounds of the battle had silenced into a eerie silence over the darkened sky. While they were in a hurry to see how Tengen was doing, I found myself following after them my feet hitting the rough broken gravel with curiosity the edge of my kimono has rips on the edge little spots of ashes all over the light shade blue of it all. By the time I could hear the girls loud screams and cries I froze at the sight.
Tengen loved nothing more than slaying demons and helping those who needed. He was missing one of his arms, and one his eyes was greatly damaged. I feared he wouldn't be able to fix it no matter the amount of medicine used to treat it.
"No don't kill Lord Tengen!" I jumped in place at Suma's blood curling screams taking in the sights before I was speaking over her hysteria, stepping forward to drop down in front of them.
"Stop! She isn't hurting him she's getting rid of the poison." I exclaimed at her, each set of eyes following me, hearing a weak cough leaving Tengen who stared at me. A relaxed smile growing on his face sinking into the embrace of the other three woman. That must be Hina as well.
"She's right... I feel better I really thought I was gonna die without saying my goodbyes." I held back a soft chuckle focusing on the other boy from earlier. He was a demon slayer as well.
"Thank you for saving me." I whispered towards him, seeing him smile my way, patting at my arm deeply bowing his head in one motion.
"It was my pleasure Miss, thank you for not freaking out over Nezuko, I'm Tanjiro." I smiled his way more shifting on my knees some more.
"I'm Miko." My gaze flicked up for a moment at the sky. The night was soon to be over with a bittersweet horizon about to take over with the sun rising.
"Miko.." I tilted my head towards Tengen, now wasn't the time to talk at all. His wife's thought he was dead, I wanted nothing more than for answers for all these years it just wasn't the time nor the place.
"Now isn't the time or place Tengen spend some time with them..." With that simple sentence. I stood up off my knees with a grunt brushing them off with my palms, sighing my attention turning towards the forest entrance not far from the destroyed time. Think it's time to actually enjoy a sunrise with my new found freedom.

It was a comforting warmth felt like the entire heat was kissing my skin with ease. Holding my arms through the sleeves staring off at the edge of the large lake water, I kept my legs over the edge. I never thought so far about what I would do with my life of freedom every came.In the past I envisioned a life with Tengen as his wife. That was the young me back then. I could never be married, have a family do all the domestic ideas I always imagined I would get to see.
What even was freedom? Not being at the hands of someone else? Making your own thoughts not being beaten and used for your body for pay. I knew outside of that. I lifted my head from away from my knees hearing a body sit down next to me, resting close to me as possible.
"You should be resting Tengen. You lost your arm." A husky chuckle was all I was met with.
"Miko after all this time of seeing me, that's the thing you say, no I missed you or you look bigger."
"I'm debating on smacking the living shit out of you? How dare you come back, come back here to me already married to your three wives? When you promised to take me away years ago when I was young. How dare you Uzui Tengen come to me when I'm like this." My voice was filled with hurt. A tremendous amounts of tears flooded my visions quickly turning to face him the sadness fully on his face when he turned to face me, using his hand to grab at my hand tightly squeezing at it roughly.
"Miko... I never wanted to leave without you that day.. I came back looking for you and your head miss said you had died... I was devastated and didn't believe it she never allowed me back. Miko you must understand you were my first love and that love for you never went away. You were meant to be my wife.. Experience all the firsts with me, have our children that was always meant for you." My body was shaking in deep lengths giving his hand a weak squeeze in place.
"Tengen... You've already fulfilled your family duties with your three beautiful wives... Back when I was young I would say yes to your proposal in a heartbeat. You were all I thought about but Tengen look at you silly." I cracked out with a soft sad giggle moving my hands to cradle his face in my trembling palms.
"You don't need me.. You don't need a fourth wife old feelings are just coming back to you. It's time I actually try to do something with my life and stop pitting myself. I can't get married.. Nor do I think I can carry children." I wiped away the stray tears falling from his temple leaning in for a moment I pressed a few scattered kisses over his face leaning my temple over his own.
"This is goodbye Tengen you've made my heart happy seeing you again." I felt his arm secure deeply around me to bring me into his body keeping me there.
"Miko stay, I'm begging you..."
