Tanjiro's POV

This lady that I saved consisted on treating me to a meal. Since I'm a demon, I can't eat human food, so I'll have to try not to throw up. I could hear her cooking a meal from the dinning room and it seemed like she was 3/4 of the way there.

I continued to wait, doing absolutely nothing. After a few minutes, I could hear her getting the plates ready to bring in the room. "Thank you so much for waiting. I had to cook up a meal since I did not have one already." She bowed. "I never caught your name though..." I mentally face Palmed. "Ah sorry, my name is Tanjiro. Nice to meet you...?" "Valerie" she smiled.

We talked about how are life's are going which I lied 99.9 percent of the time. He food looked delicious, it's sad I couldn't taste it and found it horrible. After the meal I helped her clean most of the dishes. It looked like she lived alone...

"Do you live alone Mrs.Valerie?" I questioned. She had a saddened smile now. "Yes I do. My husband died 3 years ago by an unknown creature...you wouldn't believe me if I told you..." She hesitated. "Yes I would. Would it possibly be a... demon..?" She has a shocked look on her face.

"How... did you know... did you have a family member eaten by a demon as well?..." Oh her husband got eaten... "Yes I have. My brother actually died to a demon..." I lied straight through my teeth. "Oh I'm so sorry..." She apologized. "No it's fine, you didn't know anyway." I responded.

After a few minutes of talking, I decided to get back on my missions. "Thank you for all your kindness but I have to go now." I bowed. "Oh ok! Have a safe trip!" She said waving goodbye as I starting running south for my next mission.

2 weeks later...

I finished my 70th demon. I kept count as I killed them. It went pretty well as the time went by. I killed about 4 demons each day for the past 2 weeks since they well all very weak. I haven't even encountered any lower moons at all which also sucks.

The thing im surprised by is that I haven't got my message to become an hashira. I've already passed my 50th demon a while ago and my crow hasn't been back.... Oh that's probably why... I haven't let my crow catch up to me in a while... I'm so stupid... I forgot to take breaks and let him catch up.

I waited for him for about 10 minutes before he called out to me in the distance. "CAW CAW! CAW CAW! TANJIRO HEAD TO
UBUYASHIKI ESTATE FOR MEETING! FOLLOW ME!" He yelled at me.

'Ok this is my chance To become an hashira. DONT mess this up Tanjiro' I yelled at myself in my head.

It took about 1.5 hours to finally reach the estate. I also memorized everything. Where the crow turned. What the surroundings looked like. Everything.

The place looked like an average estate and what I thought it would look like. There. I saw 9 people kneeling infront of a person. This must be Ubuyashiki and the pillars. I hid my presence until they ordered me to walk out. My crow told me earlier about what I was supposed to do and everything else on the way here. I also made sure I wasn't getting ahead of him since 1 I didn't know where I was going and 2 to not make it suspicious.

"Hello my children. I've called you here today to introduce someone. He has already slayed 70 demons since he has started. I want to introduce you to, Tanjiro." He smiled and looked at me. I then walked out and everyone was staring at me.

"Master, not to be rude but, aren't there supposed to be only 9 and not 10 pillars?" A butterfly lady asked. "I've made an exception for only Tanjiro because he became a pillar in 2 weeks." He stated.

Everyone looked beyond shocked. Did the hashira not take under a month to become a pillar? I questioned myself. "Master... the lowest days to become a pillar was 2 months and that was only achieved by 2 pillars by which Tokito-kun and Gyomei-san... how did he...." A gentlemen with bright yellow and red hair questioned.

"Thank you master." I bowed very low. "Thank you, Tanjiro. Welcome to the hashira." Master responded. "Meeting dismissed. Tanjiro could you come over here please. I would like to tell you some information about where you are staying and your missions." He spoke once again. "Yes master." I then walked over.

The rest of the hashira's already left and went back to their estates. "Thank you Tanjiro." He spoke about where I would like my estate to be located and some things about my missions. I requested it to be in the forest since there was many shadows and lots of darkness. I didn't mention that of course though.

After he told me everything, I went back to the guest house which was for hashira's when their estates were being built. It wasn't that big but wasn't small so I wasn't unhappy about it. I also didn't care less about where I was staying at all.

I then heard a knock. "Come in" I spoke. The door opened and it was literally all of the hashira. 'Great. So great.' I sarcastically stated mentally. "Yes." I spoke unemotionally so that they knew I wasn't happy. "Ara Ara~ looks like someone doesn't like company~" the butterfly girl said. "Correct but I'll let you all in." I then walked over in the living room and sat down. "Sit where ever I don't really mind."

I was the first to speak after they sat down. "As you guys know my name is Tanjiro, so let me know all your names."

"Kawaii!!! My name is mitsuri! Thank you for letting us in!" The pink and green hair girl spoke.

"My name is giyuu. Nice to meet you." The guy said in an emotionless tone. I knew I was going to like him.

"Hmm... my name is obanai..." the snake guy spoke. He had heterochromia which stood out to me.

"The name is Sanemi." He harshly spoke.

"Ara Ara~ my name shinobu~ hope we can be friends." She faked a smile so that also stood out.

"HELLO! My name is rengoku! PLEASED TO MEET YOU!" He yelled. Man he was loud.

"Muichiro." The guy with turquoise hair spoke. He was still looking at the ceiling. I also liked him.

"NICE TO MEET YOU! The name is Uzui! Remember that!" He was loud as well...

"My name is Gyomei. Pleased to meet you." The big guy spoke. Man he was huge....

So far... things were going just as planned.
