"Why couldn't they accept you quint? what's wrong with them?" Eve sobbed into Quint's chest as he tried to comfort her, "I just don't understand what they dont like about you? Why couldn't they be happy for me?"
"It's okay, babe. maybe they would come to like me over time. Don't feel bad, it's normal for family, especially parents, to try intimidating guys who date their daughter." Quint made Eve look at him and wiped away her tears, "So stop crying, beautiful." he smiled down at her and kissed her forehead.
Eve pouted and hugged Quint, still sniffing and crying but a smile broke out in her face as Quint tried soothing her more.
"They will pay for this you know?" Eve whispered and hugged Quint tighter. "Of course they will, they'll feel so guilty for not accepting the most handsome guy on earth dating their daughter." Quint laughed and reciprocated the hug. Eve laughed along, her family problems fading out as she savored their moment together.
After a moment of silence, Eve looked up at Quint as he looked down at her, "I love you, Quint, so much."
"I love you more, babe." He smiled and kissed her forehead again.
