Background: Her parents were king and queen of a small kingdom in the Enchanted Forest. When the kingdom faced a famine and the people thought that her family wasn't doing enough, they started a revolution. Sophia was the only one to survive in the family by hiding in a small closet, this is why she has a fear of small spaces. In Storybrooke she dreams to be a writer but she's too scared to do it because she believes that her writing is never enough and she doesn't show it to anyone since she's afraid they will hate it. She works at Granny's to make a living and even though she's very social she doesn't talk about her childhood since she blames herself for not being able to help her kingdom
