Echo's Staff, the Void Star Staff, has many magical capabilities. The orb in the staff changes color depending on whatever she's doing with it.
Light Blue: Neutral

This is how the orb often appears. It gives off a very faint glow (but not enough to see by). It is like this when no particular spells are being used.
Red: Fire

When the orb turns red, fire can be shot from it and the staff handle turns burning hot to everyone but Echo.
Gold: Light

When the orb turns gold it gives off a bright, lantern-like glow.
Green: Nature

Dark Blue: Water
