I walk the earth and lift myself to sky

I walk the earth and lift myself to sky

Filled with arrogance but least not with cowardice

Pride reins my leash,

Vanity commands each spoken word

Time passes and the day rusts into dust

The clay hardens to brick,

actions slip into habits

Good or bad is the debate of another day

Such is the way an individual is born.

Pride, arrogance and vanity

Over long time makes me hubris

‘Tis not till I transgress

That reality strikes me down to earth.

Esteem keeps me from accepting defeat

So I change and mold

I accept my wrong

Rain falls till the blackness is gone

The sky looks down

Searching

For a new star to adorn itself

And who does it choose? But the modest of all!
