Alicia's POV
"I'm Alicia." I say.
Emily nods and smiles.
"Who are you visiting?" She asks.
"Visiting? I'm a patient here."
"Oh. I'm sorry, I just assumed because you look okay."
"It's Xanophilphos." I say.
"Really?" She asks.
"Yeah."
"That's what Riley has, do you know anything about it?"
"Yeah." I hand her an article in my bag.
Xanophilphos
Discovered in 1940 by Dr. Garret.
Patients with Xanophilphos experience uncontrollable anger. It usually comes every twenty four hours for about an hour. Anger overcomes the body. Sometimes resulting in heart attacks.
"So she just had a-"
"Anger attack, that's what me and my friend Tasha used to call it."
"Wait there are more Xanophilphos patients here?"
I pause for a moment.
"Actually, it's just me right now, well Riley and me."
"And Tasha?"
"She died last week."
It hits her hard.
"I'm sorry-"
"It's okay. It was a while ago."
"It was last week..."
"You'd be surprised how much people go when the have Xanophilphos."
