Race: Tiefling
Personality: Chance is in general a very confused, lost person. She has bad self-esteem thanks to Trick's manipulation, and doesn't have any of her own ambitions. Instead, she takes on the ones that she thinks would lead to Trick being proud of her. To most, she seems very stand-offish and quiet, or even haughty, even more so when she's with Trick. However, she's mostly not used to normal social interaction and can be a bit of a mess when caught off-guard with it. She represses her feelings and problems, and is prone to emotional outbursts. She is completely devoted to Trick and is willing to do anything for him, especially if it gets Trick's approval, however fake it is. Her personality was affected to a huge amount by Trick.
Description: Chance is on the shorter side of average height with lightly tanned skin, black hair that is soft and fluffy tied in a thin braid that goes down her back, and freckles that go across her nose, cheeks, and shoulders. She looks mostly human other than the dark curved horns close to her head, the solid goldish yellow eyes, and her pointed tail. Later on in the story she has a sleeve tattoo on her entire left arm depicting darkly colored vines with large, pale pink oleander flowers dotted among them, and if you look close enough on her bicep there is a dagger underneath the vines.

Trick (AKA the bastard I would gladly murder if not for the plot)
Pronouns: he/him
Age: Old enough to be Chance's dad
Sexuality: Gay
Race: Tiefling
Personality: Trick is an extremely manipulative person, and is very good at it. He is a compulsive and pathological liar. He is very skilled at appearing to be loving and caring, even when he is actively not being those things. Trick always comes off as having good intentions and being kind, and never visibly gets angry or argues directly. He was able to keep Chance completely under his thumb, and has done the same to others. He places a lot of value into hard work, and also into loyalty and his twisted version of what family is. He is vengeful and possessive.
