He immediately tended towards her.
Arthur: Are you alright?
Arthur held her arms and felt that she was burning up.
Arthur: You're having a fever.
Ana was panting from the pain.
Arthur: Let's get you to bed.
Arthur helped her towards her bed to lay down.
Ana: I'm alright. You might catch my fever.
Arthur: But I can't leave you like this.
Ana: Call my mom.
Arthur immediately let out his phone and dialed her mom's number.
Her mom didn't answer.
He tried again. Finally her mom answered.
Arthur: Hello. Ana's mom?
Ana's mom: Yes?
Arthur: This is Arthur, Ana's neighbor. She's having a high fever and a headache right now.
Ana's mom: Oh my. Ok. Alright. Um. I'll be there but it will take me two hours to arrive so first give her medicine to ease the pain. Make her eat something first before giving the medecine.
Arthur: Alright. Copy that. Thank you 'te.
Ana's mom: Alright. I'll be there. Thank you Arthur.
Arthur put the phone down and immediately went to the kitchen to give her something to eat. Luckily, Ana already made soup.
He poured some in a bowl and went back to the room.
He tried to feed Ana.
Ana: It's fine Arthur. I can still feed myself.
Ana slowly sat up and gestured to give the bowl and spoon to her.
Arthur gave it to her obediently.
Ana started to eat.
Ana: Sorry for this inconvenience, I bet you still have a lot of work to do.
Arthur: No it's alright. I still have some time to finish my work. I'll stay here until your mom arrives.
Ana finished the soup and gave the bowl and spoon to Arthur.
Arthur received it.
Arthur: I'll buy some medicine. I 'll be right back.
Then he hurriedly went out.
After two hours of waiting, Ana's mom finally arrived.
Ana was still laying on the bed and Arthur was still sitting by her side when the doorbell rang and Arthur immediately went to the door and opened it.
Ana's mom hurriedly went to her room.
Ana's mom: How are you feeling?
Ana's mom said while stroking her forehead.
Ana: Why are you acting like I have a serious illness? I'm only having a slight fever and I'm feeling better thanks to the medicine Arthur gave me.
Ana smiled.
Ana's mom sighed.
Ana's mom: Alright. That's good to know. I'll prepare some dinner.
Ana's mom looked at Arthur.
Ana's mom: Thank you Arthur.
Arthur nodded and then she went to the kitchen.
Ana: By the way Arthur. What was the important thing you wanted to say to me?
Ana asked.
Arthur: I, um. I'll tell you when you're all better. For now I'll go back to my room.
Ana: Ok. Thank you Arthur.
Arthur: You're welcome. Get well soon.
Then Arthur left her bedroom and went to her mom to say goodbye and finally left her apartment room.
The next day, Arthur visited Ana again.
Arthur rang her bell and her mom was the one who answered it.
Arthur: Good morning 'te. I brought the kittens with me.
Ana's mom: Oh. Yes. Oh look how the kittens have grown. Come in, Ana's in the living room.
Arthur entered and saw Ana playing some video games in the living room.
Arthur: Hey. You're playing Breath of the Wilderness. That's kinda cool.
Ana: I know right? This game is so fun to play.
Arthur: You seem like you're getting well.
Ana: Of course. It was just a slight fever with a headache. Nothing much to worry about.
Arthur: Well, I did worry a lot.
He said under his breath.
Ana: What?
Arthur: Oh, uh, nothing. By the way, I brought the kittens.
He then showed the kittens.
Ana: How are they? Ooohhh. They've grown so fast. Look how big you are.
Ana said with a lot of affection while approaching the kittens.
Arthur put down the cage then Ana started to cuddle with them.
Arthur stood up, took a deep breath and said,
Arthur: Can I talk with you outside?
Ana stopped stroking Rael's hair and said,
Ana: You're finally going to tell me.
Ana let out a big smile.
Ana: Let's go.
