Chapter 1: The king of hearts

(Hello again! Chapter 1 is here!! : D anyways this is gonna be a couple of months after dice joined the casino just so you know)

POV by king dice: I sighed as I woke up from my bed. The devil made us all bedrooms in the casino. He clearly just didn't want us to leave the casino that much- either way, I get up from bed and walk to the bathroom which was in the room. I quickly brushed my teeth and took a shower. I put on my purple suit that the devil gave me not to long after I started working here. I then opened my door and walked out. I knocked on the door right next to mine. Chips answered the door and smiled brightly when he saw me. "Oh Heya dice!" He said smiling happily. He still hasn't stopped calling me dice....same with everyone else. "Hey, it's time for work" "let's get everyone else ready for when the casino opens" I told him as I quickly went to the other door next to me. I knocked on it and waited. Chips nodded to me and walked over to another door and knocked. Pirouletta the roulette wheel opened the door. "Yes?" She asked looking curiously at me. "Hey, I'm just waking everyone up so then we can start to work" I told her. She smiled at me then nodded. Piroueltta was very nice and I learned real quickly that she was Russian. I mean she was a roulette wheel- I sighed then knocked on another door. The tipsy troop opened the door. All three of them shared a room which I would find weird....if the boss didn't explain to me that they all were also a group. They were never really seen apart unless they all had to do different stuff. "Hello!" I said smiling brightly at them. They all looked at me confused and very much drunk. They always are so- "so- let's all get to work!" I said proudly as I quickly left them to think about what I said. Everyone else eventually got up as well. Then not too long later, the casino doors open. I immediately start working at some tables, as a dealer of course. Which is pretty easy since I already know most stuff about cards.

POV by the devil: I sat down at my desk as I looked through the soul contracts. I then realized that....we had all the souls we needed! That usually never happens. I got up happily and went out of my office. I then quickly got on the small little stage, usually used for entertainment. I grabbed the mic and turned it on. "Attention employees!" "Today we surprisingly have all the soul contracts" "so after work we will be celebrating in the dinning hall" i announced happily to everyone. I could hear cheering coming from the crowd of people. I then quickly put the mic back where it was and went off the stage. I then walked back into my office and sat down at my desk.

POV by king dice: I was quite surprised....we were gonna celebrate?! That never has happened before but then again I haven't worked here that long. I smiled brightly as I turned back to the table.

POV by chips: woah! It's been some time since we celebrated! We've been workin hard lately so I don't see why we shouldn't. I quickly turned to mr wheezy and smiled at him. He smiled back. "Let's hurry up and get things done around here so then we can have that party!" I told him happily as I pat his back then walked away. He nodded then walked the other way.
(Later that day...)

POV by the devil: the days almost over, so I get up from my desk and walk outside of my office. I look around to see everyone still working. I then see dice, he's over at the craps table. He's shuffling cards the same way he did when I first met him. That's why he got the job! I laughed to myself then walked back to the stage. I grabbed the mic again. "Alright everyone!" "The casino is closing for the night, so get the fuck out" I announced to everyone. The customers quickly left the casino and mangosteen said goodbye to them by the door. I smiled brightly then walked off the stage. I then walked to our little dining hall. I sat down at the table and waited. Eventually, all of my employees walked in the room and sat down. Hocus pocus sat next to me. The crazy bunny was probably my least favorite employee. He's insane which sometimes makes customers leave. Dice sat next to me on the other side of the table. Once everyone was sitting down at the table. I grabbed my class and clapped it with my spoon to get everyone's attention. "Hello everyone!" "Today we are celebrating the hard work I have been doing!" He announced to everyone. "Ya mean our hard work?-" chips asked him tilting his head but was smiling. "Oh- uh yeah" I said nervously.

POV by king dice: I sighed as I just picked at my food. I wasn't really hungry. I thought I would have liked this celebration but for some weird reason....I missed my family. Mostly just Sally. My parents were horrible people so I don't miss them but Sally....she was so nice. These people are nice as well...sort of. I thought while looking at hocus pocus and pip and dot. Those guys kinda scare me.....same with mangosteen but he's actually nice. Did I make the right call?- was choosing to work with the devil at his casino the right thing? All these people seem to think it was but maybe that's because they really had nothing for them....I at least had someone.

POV by the devil: I looked over to dice. He seemed upset....he wasn't even eating his food. I looked around at everyone else. They were all talking, smiling and laughing. Why wasn't dice? I just sat there for a minute eating my dinner. Once I was done I turned to dice. "Dice, can I talk to you in my office for a minute?" I asked him. He looked up from his food and nodded to me. I then got up from the table and walked over to my office. He slowly followed me. Once he walked inside I closed the door behind me. I then walked over to my desk. "So, what's up?-" he asked me seeming nervous. He's been nervous around me ever since we first met. Not surprised. Just saying- "you seemed upset....at dinner are you alright?" I asked him sitting at my desk. He sighed a little which made me tilt my head. "I- I just sort of miss my old life is all" "it's not that I don't like being here!" "I just feel a little home sick..." he told me nervously. I nodded to him. "So- are you trying to get out of your contract?" I asked him glaring at him. "N-no!" "It's nothing...never mind" "let's go back to the party-" he quickly said to me trying to walk away. "Wait!" "I have something for you" I told him quickly as I looked through my desk. He quickly turned over to me and tilted his head. I grabbed a card out of my desk and walked over to him. I showed him the card and put it in his hand. "This little card found it's way into my casino one day" "it reminded me of you-" I told him simply as he looked down at the pink heart card. "Woah-" "thanks!" He said smiling brightly at the little card. The card looked up at him curiously then snuggled with his hand. He pat him on the head and He smiled. "If you get more you could use them to attack" I told him simply as I looked down at the contracts. "Would I need to use them for that?-" he asked me which made me laugh. "You work for satan, dice!" "Of course you'll need to use them for self defense" I explained to him then went back through my desk. I showed him another card. "Dice....can you tell me what this card is?" I asked him as I held up the card for him to see. He looked at it for a second then immediately said "that's a king of hearts" he told me which I nodded. "Yes and now that title is yours" I told him setting the card down on the table. "From this day on, you will be my right hand man" "you'll be in charge of everyone in the casino while I work in my office" "like a floor manger-" I told him giving him the card. "Really?!" "Are you sure?-" he asked me surprised and confused. I nodded to him and put my hand on his shoulder. "You'll do great" I told him simply then got up from my desk and left the office.

POV by king dice: I smiled brightly and proudly. I was now king dice! Dice wasn't my first name....but I wasn't made about that anymore! King dice sounded like a great name! I was now the king of hearts. I was the devils right hand man. Assistant manager. I happily patted the little card that the devil gave me then walked outside of the office and back to the dinning hall. Everyone was talking happily with each other and I walked in and sat down. I no longer felt sad! This was my home now and I loved it! I still miss my sister, Sally but she would have wanted me to be happy. I'm sure she would have. She always wanted me to be happy.

(The end! Dang I didn't realize I would be done with this chapter so quickly lol- I took a couple of days for the prologue! But this only took one- and it didn't take all day anyways I hope you enjoy it!)
