Growing up as the daughter of General Poe Dameron, turned Senator, and Jedi Master Amara Solo-Dameron is a bit intimidating. I mean sure, I'm not the only one dealing with the aspect of being a child of legacy, look at my cousin, Anakin Solo.
Then again, Anakin always loved the attention. It was something he strives for at the temple. Although, Anakin isn't the only child of legacy in the picture. There is my adopted brother, who despite not being blood related is still a Dameron. Like me.
Although, he doesn't have my issues.
I am strong in the Force, as I was told by my mother. As I was told by my uncle and aunt. I am not frightened by this. I embrace it.
The connection to the Force is everything to me. It makes me feel so alive. It makes me feel so free like piloting one of my dad's old X-Wings. It's so liberating.
Despite everything, I selfishly wish for adventure. I've been stuck at the temple basically all my life. Living on Courscant with my family since the day I was born. I just know there is more out there.
Galaxies of people and civilizations just worth exploring.
I just didn't expect to be dragged into a coup.

(A/N: This series takes place twenty-one years after Awaken, or rather eight years after the ending part of the last chapter. Vira is in her early twenties and Orson is in his mid-thirties. The series is primary going to be focusing on them and going between them and maybe even familiar characters or new characters such as Anakin Solo. If I add anymore new characters, there will be edits made and added here.
I really am looking forward to doing this. I had been thinking about making a sequel to my Awaken book for a while and I just felt now is the perfect time.
