The Fellowship arrives at the West Gate of Moria. "Frodo, come and help an old man."Gandalf called out. Frodo rushes over and helps Gandalf walk. "How is your shoulder?"Gandalf asked Frodo. "Better than it was."Frodo answered. "And the Ring?"He questioned.

Frodo turned to him as they stopped walking. "You feel its power growing, don't you? Mieczysław and I can feel it too. You must be careful now. Evil will be drawn to you from outside the Fellowship...and, I fear, from within."Gandalf said quietly as the others passed by them.

Stiles was amused because he knew what they were talking about. "Who then do I trust?"Frodo asked. "You must trust yourself. Trust your own strengths."Gandalf said. "What do you mean?"Frodo asked.

"There are many powers in this world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am, and against some, I have not yet been tested."He told him. Gimli gasps. "The walls of Moria."Gimli says in awe. The Fellowship walks by the side of the lake.

"Dwarf doors are invisible when closed."Gimli said and knocked on the wall with his ax. "Yes, Gimli, their own masters cannot find them if their secrets are forgotten."Gandalf said doing the same thing as Gimli.

"Why doesn't that surprise me?"Legolas said causing Stiles to snort and Gimli to growl. Frodo's foot slips into the water and he gasps. Gandalf makes out an outline of the doors. "Well, let's see. Ithildin. It mirrors only starlight and moonlight."Gandalf said.

The moon appears and the doors illuminate. "It reads, ❝The Doors of Durin, Lord of Moria. Speak, friend, and enter.❞"Read Gandalf. "What do you suppose that means?"Merry asks.

"Oh, it's quite simple. If you are a friend, you speak the password, and the doors will open."The Wizard responds and turns toward the door. Stiles decided to just watch Gandalf fail for a few minutes before he decide to get the fuck out of there.

"Annon Edhellen edro hi ammen!"Gandalf announced. (Translate: Gate of the Elves open now for me!) The doors remain closed. Everyone looked at each other as Gandalf tried again. "Nothing's happening."Pippin said. Gandalf begins to push it with his staff.

"I once knew every spell in all the tongues of Elves, Men, and Orcs."Gandalf said as he stopped. "What are you going to do, then?"Pippin asked him.

"Knock your head against these doors, Peregrin Took! And if that does not shatter them, and I am allowed a little peace from foolish questions, I will try to find the opening words."Gandalf told him.

"Come, Pippin. Let's leave the irritated old man alone."Stiles said in amusement as Gandalf glared at him.

Time passes. The rest of the Fellowship are seated around the doors or near the lake, still waiting for Gandalf to open it. Stiles stood with a mischievous smile on his face. No one questioned it.

"Ando Eldarinwa a lasta quettanya, Fenda Casarinwa!"Gandalf said as he tried a different approach. (Translate: Gate of Elves listen to my word, Threshold of Dwarves!) Aragorn unhitches Bill's bridle. "Mines are no place for a pony, even one so brave as Bill."Aragorn told Sam.

"Buh-bye, Bill."Sam said sadly causing Stiles to coo and hug him. Sam gladly took the comfort. "Go on, Bill. It's time for you to go back home."Stiles told the pony after patting him. "Don't worry, Sam. He knows the way home."Aragorn said softly.
