Karan - Because doctor ne aapko rest krne ko bola hai...But aap toh morning walk pe thi subhah 🙂
Monami glared him with raised eyebrows...

Karan - Chalo ye toh confirm ho gya, that you definitely cannot be a terrorist
He smiled and turned to leave...While Monu too smiled internally...♥️

He turned back to her...
Karan - Fauji hu...Civilians ki safety humari duty hai...Chahe vo fir border pe ho ya aise...Mein sirf apni duty kar rha hu...So agar aap bhi yaha rehna koi majburi ya ehsaan na samjhe, toh rehna asaan ho jayga 😊
Monami just watched him talk and sighed nodding her head...♥️
Karan - Khana khalijiyega...Aur kuch chahiye ho toh I've already assigned someone...Take care
Monami - Thank you
Karan just nodded and left...

11 pm...It's already dark outside
Monami was restless, so she got out of her tent...And she saw Karan outside, roaming around...She slowly started walking upto him...♥️
Monami's pov -
Ye abhi tak soya ni??
Karan too saw her at a distance and he too started walking upto her...♥️
Karan's pov -
Ye iss time kyu bahar hai?? All okay??
They slowly walked and reached eachother...♥️
Karan - U okay??
Monu - Umm...Yeah
Karan - Then??
Monu - Actually I was getting restless...Thak gai ek jagah pe baithe baithe
Karan - But u okay right?? Doctor toh ni chahiye??
Monu - Nhi...I'm okay...It's very normal...Mujhe neend ni aati aaj kal
Karan - Umm... Kyu??
Monu - Pregnancy ki last mein udh jaati hai...It gets uncomfortable sometimes...But I'm okay
Karan just sighed and nodded...They started walking together now...Monami was walking thoda sa aage... While Karan walked just beside her, uske peeche peeche...He walked while stretching an arm behind her waist but not holding it...He kept it little away, thinking what if she looses balance and ol...(Caring Shergill 🙈♥️)
Monu - Aap kyu uthe hai?? I mean baaki sab toh so chuke
Karan - Umm...Bas aise hi...Aadat hai mujhe...I don't sleep a lot...So usually I'm here only in the night...Mostly
Monu nodded and both of them exchanged faint smiles...♥️

Back story -
Karan doesn't sleep a lot in the night...He's almost insomniac...After his brothers death, he started sleeping less because sleep meant nightmares...Also Faizi bhi ni hai abhi, he's posted somewhere else...Whereas karan is posted here in Jammu...Toh neend ka toh naamo nishaan ni hai Karan ke pass...♥️

They walked for 15-20 mins in silence, but the silence was not bad...They enjoyed that company...They basically were enjoying that silence n peace of the night together...✨
After walking for all these minutes, Monu was breathing heavily and she was taking long deep breaths... Karan noticed that...
Karan - Umm...I think bas karte hai
He stopped her, and gently kept his hand on her back... Making her walk to a chair nearby, he made her sit while he went to get water...Monu was looking at him, all this while...✨
Monu (in her head) - Vaise itna bhi bura ni hai ♥️
He came back and gave her water...
Karan - All okay??
Monu - Umm...Yeah
Karan - Go rest now...Doctor ne pehle hi aapko rest bola tha...Bhtt walk ho gai
Monami smiled faintly and nodded...She was about to get up, but it was little difficult for her to get up...Karan quickly came forward and forwarded his hand... Monami smiled and held it...He got her up while she kept on looking at him...He eventually walked her upto her tent...♥️
Monu - Umm...Thank you
Karan - No problem... Goodnight 😊
