There was something so ineffably shocking about Kaori Nozomi finding solace in a certain, troublesome Gryffindor, especially since she was never one to associate herself with the enemy, or anyone, for that matter.

Everyone from Mahoutokoro School of Magic has undoubtedly already heard of Kaori Nozomi's unforgettable name, and she didn't even need the help of her grandmother's reputation! The notion of Kaori — or Kai, as she preferred everybody to call her (seriously, anyone who dared to call her by her full name was just asking for a death sentence) — was not some complicated thing: a strong, independent woman who lived and breathed Quidditch. She was popularly known around the Japanese wizarding school for being its resident Quidditch superstar, a fun and powerful title to be known for.

One would think someone as admired and idolised as Kaori would be easy to get along with. That wasn't the case for the burgundy-haired girl, though — she wasn't the friendliest person in the academy, and the reason as to why was beyond anyone. A handful of people believed she was one of those girls, the ones that were picky with who they associated themselves with. (This wasn't completely a lie. Besides, Kaori only really had three close friends). There was also that poker face she always wore which seemed to be her default setting. The corners of Kaori's mouth never did so much as twitch upwards, save for when they did, which was usually whenever she hears the satisfying crack of her bat hitting against the Bludger, or when she sees the scowl on Hiro Kozume's lips whenever she gets under his skin.
