     (Y/n P.O.V)

After the quite awkward dinner, I was escorted to the guest room I was staying in by Draco. "Night, Y/n," He said with a smile, and I smiled back. After he left, I went into the bathroom and took a quick shower with the coconut and hibiscus soap they provided. I changed into my pajamas and fell asleep as soon as I hit the bed, and Vera sensed my warmth and cuddled up by my feet. I had a weird sensation on my back; as if someone was watching me through the night.

The next day, my sleep was interrupted by water being poured on my face. I gasped as I woke up, my eyes were still wet; I didn't want this mystery liquid going into my eyes! I heard a familiar loud laugh, and my eyebrows furrowed. I rubbed my eyes and opened them, and there he was; Draco. He was bending over in fits, smacking his hand on the bed. "You should've seen your face!" I grabbed my wand on the nightstand, muttering the leg-lock curse. He yelped and fell over, and I started laughing. "Hey, It's not funny! Undo this now!" It was at that moment that I remembered that I forgot the counter-curse. In the end, Narcissa had to unlock Draco, for Lucius had better things to attend to.

I put on my day clothes, which consisted of [insert clothes of choice]. I picked up Vera like a baby as she clawed at my nose. I put away her stuff and grabbed my luggage and headed for the entrance hall. "Venus, why are you carrying your bags? What do you think the house elves are for?" Lucius joked, and I awkwardly laughed. "Alright, kids gather around. the port key should be operating soon." Narcissa said and pulled out a large emerald. We held onto our luggage and put a finger on the emerald.

Suddenly and without warning, we were launched into the air, spinning madly. Vera was meowing like mad. Next, we teleported on a forest path, which had large, windy trees and a dark atmosphere. "Keep up, the manor should be just down this path." I don't remember this being a part of the land, most of the time I just traveled by Floo powder whenever I had to go somewhere. The path was lined with snow, and if any snow fell on the path it melted almost immediately. I held on tighter to my coat and shivered, and followed behind the Malfoys. "Did you know, Venus, that I had business with your father? This path was designed so people not in the Venus bloodline could enter safely." Lucius said, and I nodded. I knew of it, but I expected it to be more, well, welcoming.

After about 3 minutes of walking, we reached our destination. We reached a gate, and Lucius muttered something to it with his wand, and the house was displayed in front of us. It was exactly as I remembered. The outside walls were of a cream color, with brown accents here and there. Grapevines covered the walls, and pillars upon pillars surrounded the house. It was made in the 1100s, and its age showed lightly. The gardens were well kept, with various manmade sculptures and water fixtures. The walls had small carvings, and the whole house was a piece of art. (top for reference if you have trouble visualizing!)

Draco gasped and I smirked at him. "You lived here, Y/n? This house is just... wow," He said, and I stopped zoning out. "Yep, if you're impressed by this you should see my vault." Yes, that was a reference to what he said earlier.

We walked in, and I gasped. It looked even better than I remember! There were gold embellishments on the walls, and the paintings looked livelier than ever. "Everyone, Y/n is back!" someone cheered, and everyone in the various paintings began to yell happily. I grinned at them, some of whom were my ancestors. It was basically my version of a family reunion. "Alright, calm down everyone. I'm so glad to be back!" I grabbed Draco by his wrist, eager to show him the whole house. His parents stood back and watched us with a smirk, not transfixed by the house whatsoever. Vera jumped from my arms and went to explore on her own.

I first showed him the living room with large windows and red velvet curtains. A large gold chandelier stood on the ceiling, with emeralds and candles fixed upon it. I then showed him the library, kitchens, eating area, study rooms, and lastly the bedrooms. My room was similar to the rest of the house, except it had a large marble sculpture of a woman emerging from a shell. She was gorgeous and looked relatively like me. Her long hair covered her... bits... but I was pretty used to seeing her. Draco looked amazed at my room, as he did with the rest of the house. "Y/n, you lived like royalty!" He said, and I nodded. "Yeah, I guess so." I laughed.

I showed the family to the guest rooms for them to pick out; we had far too many. Draco chose a velvety green one, as his parents did as well. I walked around my house while they were lounging in the living room. I went up to my room and unpacked my belongings. The statue was still there, staring at me. "Salut, Rose." I greeted her and she smiled down at me. "It's a pleasure being in your company again, mon cheri." My mother told me stories about this statue, it has been in our family for decades. She would often look like she had something else to say about it but held herself back. I wonder what she was hiding from me.

The day ended abruptly, and I slept at home for the first time in forever. My bed was soft and comfortable, and I fell asleep looking at the paintings of the gods.

The next day, I woke up to Vera clawing on my blankets, and I had to bat her away.  Draco's parents took us out to a local wizard town in Paris. It was called la Ville de Versau, which was similar to Diagon Ally in many ways. Although, many shops were made of marble, and there was significantly more greenery. I held Vera bundled up in a small blanket like a tiny baby. "I hope you guys are fluent in French because I'd hate to do all the translating around here." I joked, and Narcissa laughed a bit. "Of course dear, although you might have to translate for Draco; he only knows the basics." She said, and Draco groaned a bit.

We first had to convert some of our Galleons into Euros and Bezants, France's currency for wizards. Our trip to Gringotts was fast and simple, and we left with our new and shiny coins. Our first stop was at a diner, owned by an excellent cook named Martine. We ate in silence, looking around us. The shop was mainly red and black, with warm lighting. The waitresses asked us for our meals, and I ordered (insert breakfast food), Draco had an omelet, and his parents just had black coffee. I got Vera some tuna, which was displayed like art.  Lucius paid, and I thanked him for the meal. "It's no problem, Venus." He said coldly.

We then headed over to a clothing shop, where I got a few white blouses, dress pants, and some new sweaters. Draco got a new robe, and his parents left us to do our own thing. I dragged Draco out after paying, and we went to a cool-looking gift shop. I got harry an actual fitting sweater and a small red leather pouch, Hermione a large book that was titled, 'a spellbook for the practical witch', and Ron some expensive peanut brittle and peppermints. I also got Pansy a pair of emerald earrings, and some matching friendship bracelets, and I got Draco a gold clock and a jade ring. I didn't bother getting Crabbe and Goyle anything, I didn't like them much. I snuck to the cash register and carried my bag outside, where I found Draco waiting for me. "Blimey, what took you so long?" Draco asked, and I shrugged. "I had to pick out the perfect gifts, y'know?"

Afterward, we went to a library where we ordered some lilac and lemon tea, served in an amethyst teacup. Vera cuddled in my lap while Draco sat across from me, and we talked about everything and nothing. He went on a few tangents about Harry Potter, or as he would say, 'Pottah'. He asked me a bit about France, and its culture, and I happily talked about it.  The sun soon went down, and we realized the time. Lucius and Narcissa greeted us outside the library, and we went back to my home for dinner.

(a/n; sorry for the short and late update! I'm not too good at writing filler chapters, or 'slice of life' type things. the statue may be important to y/n's family history, or maybe not. who knows? oh wait, I do.)
