[ Chapter Seven ]

[ Movie 1 - The Princess Diaries ]

I RAISED AN EYEBROW TO MYSELF, before turning my head to glance at my cousin, wondering what exactly was going on. I turned my head back to glance at the black haired male teenager who was playing the harmonica. I blinked repeatedly before nodding my head to myself, american teenagers were weird.

"Lilly, the car's here!" The male teenager yelled out to Lilly, jumping off from the stairwell ledge he was sitting on

I'm assuming that Lilly responded back to him since he was now rushing down the stairs. It wasn't long before he started to walk towards the limousine, before jumping down to the sidewalk.

"Thanks for the ride. Thank you." The male haired teenager thanked my father with wave of his hand

"Hey." Mia greeted him softly and I blinked once more before lifting to take a sip of my soda, but I kept my eyes on them

"What?" Mia asked him after a couple seconds of silence as they eyed one another but I willed myself to be silent

"Michael, don't always think you can get a ride with us. Oy. Who destroyed you?" I heard Lilly's voice ask Mia making me lower my drink

"Oh. Um, y-you think that it looks that bad?" Mia nervously asked her, her voice hesitating as she glanced up at her best friend

"You look ridiculous. You should sue." Lilly pointed out, and I couldn't help but frown since she basically insult Paolo's work

"Well, um...I know it's a little straighter and shorter--" Mia was starting to say to Lilly but was interrupted

"Weirder!" Lilly cut him off abruptly before she started to walk to head inside to the limousine first

"An attractive weirder." The guy who I was assuming was Lilly's brother that I heard so much about softly commented making me giggle quietly

"No. It's not attractive." Lilly shot back at her brother as he now headed inside the limousine, going to sit down next to me since Lilly went to sit next to Mia

"Seat belts, please." My father requested and I was grateful that he decided to interrupt them since I was too busy stirring in anger

"What I really can't understand...you ditched me again yesterday when I really needed your help on the greenpeace petition. This bag! You have one of these bags? You know we could hock that and feed a whole third world country? Am I right?" Lilly questioned Mia and I took a deep breath, trying to ease myself back into comfort

"No." Her brother softly disagreed with her, looking ahead so that he could avoid her stare and I raised my eyebrow at his actions

"If there are no more passengers, I think we should close the doors." My father interrupted them once more, turning his head to look back at us

"I mean, you used to care more about what was inside your head instead of on it.Come on, Mia. Fess up. I don't know where you are these days and now you're turning into an a-crowd wannabe? You're morphing into one of them!" Lilly exclaimed harshly and I couldn't help but feed into my anger when I saw a tear trail out of Mia's eye

"Lilly, please don't talk to my cousin like that ever again. I'm sorry that ditched you yesterday but she was with me so we could try to get to know one another better. Also, I gave her that bag since I brought it from back home and I have an exact pair of it, thinking it would be nice if we matched! She does not need to pawn off the bag due to the my family already doing some donations to charities to help out." I calmly told Lilly who finally noticed that I was sitting beside her brother and her eyes widened at the sight of me
