Not feeling the spirit.

The Christmas holidays had started, and with it's rocky start, neither of the girls could feel the spirit. What, with being drugged on rohypnol, plus having a brother potentially sent to prison, they were both pretty traumatised.
The two sloped down the stairs, Kuriko still in yesterday's dress, and Kokomi in her dressing gown. The news coverage was talking further about the arrest of Toruu Mugami, and mentioned photos of his naked sister, clearly taken without consent were found in his house. Thankfully, Kokomi's name was not mentioned, and the photos were not shown. Kurumi turned around, in sympathy. "I know recently it's been overwhelming for you two. If I can help, let me know, okay girls?"

They both nodded. "Yeah, thanks mum." Kuriko mumbled. She got out breakfast, and quickly. She didn't plan on getting dressed.

"So, five days until Christmas, you exited?" Kurumi continued to chirp. Half hearted nods from both girls.
Holding hands, they went to sit down at the kitchen bar, out of Kurumi's earshot

"Kokomi, you can talk about what's wrong." Kuriko said calmly.

Kokomi gently bit her thumbnail. "I want to see Toruu. I hate him, of course. I'm scared of him, but he's my brother you know, and my only close family. We were close growing up, and it's hurt me, watching him becoming a person I can't trust. I wish he had just stayed normal." Her clench on her thumbnail became harder. "I just feel so confused! Where is my brother, why isn't he looking after me? And even after all of this, I want to see him. Does that make me a bad person? Am I a bad person? Why am I so dependent on-"

"Kokomi, please, it's okay. See your brother if you want, but just don't let him hurt you."

"I just wish he-... I want a normal brother!" She leant over, head in hands.

I know this is only like 400 words but I needed to release something! I'll probably merge this w/ a different chapter in editing xx
