it was a saturday.
and one would think that on a weekend day, you would be allowed to sleep as long as you please.
but that was not the case. not for you, not today.
nobody woke you up, that wasn't the problem. well, at least not directly.
your phone vibrated non-stop, so much that you couldn't ignore it. absolutely pissed off and drunk with sleep, you rolled over and grabbed it from your night stand.
this time it was a call. you didn't bother to look at the caller, your only intent was to shut him up.
"what?" you barked at your phone and fell back into your pillows, rubbing your eyes.
"top of the morning to you too" a voice greeted you sarcastically.
if you hadn't recognized it because you heard it everyday, the sarcasm gave you the hint. "what do you want, rin?" you whined. "it's so early!"
"y/n, it's almost noon. not even i sleep this long! how long were you up last night?" suna implied, laughing.
you didn't answer. there was no way you would tell him that you talked about him to you grandma until midnight, just to do the same with saya until 3 in the morning.
"anyways", he continued when there was no further reply," i know your spirit animal is a sloth but-"
suddenly, you were fully awake, jolting upwards in your bed. "excuse you?"
suna laughed and you saw him rolling on his bed before your inner eye. that guy was such a child.
"you're the one who takes naps. and you're like almost an adult" you shot at him without the slightest bit of amusement in your voice.
he went quiet. "fair point, but-" he was interrupted again.
"if my spirit animal is a sloth, yours is a caterpillar that has been stepped on!" you continued.
the other end of the line stayed silent for a while. "glad to know that romance is not dead. are you done?"
you breathed out audibly. "yes."
suna started off again immediately and you could tell that he was excited. it conjured a smile on your tired face.
you sat on the edge of your bed, rubbing the fatigue off your face while listening.
"so, i've just seen this place. it's like a forest and there's a path for like hiking but more like walking and at the end is a waterfall." he spoke so fast it was almost hard to follow.
you hummed, letting him know that you were still with him.
"wanna try it out?" he asked, hopeful.
"what? hiking to a waterfall?" you debated internally, totally not paying attention to the fact that it could come across that you would not be up for it.
