[I feel bad that "Pueblo Solitario" is the only Spanish-named chapter, so let's give him a friend! :D
Oh yeah, some triggering things are involved ig
Hope you enjoy!]
Things have been going relatively well. Throughout the months Bruno has been in Brighton, he's been somewhat getting used to it, both with handling business matters, and being the breadwinner of the Walten family. Speaking of the Walten family, he's having a bit of a dilemma. He's starting to feel things for Rosemary and it's concerning him. Understandably, Rosemary has been all lovey-dovey to him, and he had to be the same to her to not raise suspicion. He's not going to lie, he's enjoying this. He's been enjoying this a lot. Through the months, he's really been ending up acting more and more like Jack, which only makes Rosemary more and more enamoured by him. Has Bruno told this to Jack? No, not at all. The voice who seems to have been watching them all this time hasn't spoken a single word about any of this and has been keeping his distance now, and only making his presence known when either of the two needs him. If Bruno told Jack about this, he would be dead. Absolutely dead. More dead than a dead person kind of dead.
Bruno has just managed to make the acquaintance of Jack and show that he's a good person. He doesn't want to screw it all up and have Jack end up hating him. Oh boy, this would definitely put a large dent in their rather young and still developing friendship. That would be the last thing Bruno would want.
Well, aside from Rosemary, there was Sophie. The eldest daughter. She was loving, fun, and just happy to be alive. Jack mentioned quite a bit that Sophie was secretly his favourite. He never specified why though. He was just really fond of his firstborn. Sophie was 14. Bruno is not really sure how to exactly bond with teenagers. Even with Camilo and Mirabel. They're just a year older from Sophie. Bruno used to always babysit them when they were younger, but before he was transported here to live as Jack, he felt that Camilo and Mirabel were now people whom are far different from who they used to be in the past. It's not as if they drastically changed, but growing up can really do a lot of things to everyone. Not just you but the people around you. And Bruno has really felt that impact of feeling awkward and baffled when it comes to trying to interact with teenagers. They're older now so dumb toys aren't gonna woo them anymore. Well, at least, from what Bruno thought. It turns out that Sophie is still a kid at heart even if she's now 14. It took some time learning what she truly likes, but Jack is there to answer all his questions which greatly helped in his journey of bonding with Sophie. They went to watch a funny cartoonish movie together. Jack, surprisingly, wasn't really fond of cartoons apparently. But oh well, they still had a good time together.
Next were the twins. Edd... Was passive. According to Jack, he always was. Edd was just as Sophie. When it came to sibling matters, he was very understanding and never wanted to get in the way of anything. When Bruno said he was going to bond with the twins, Molly was immediately the one who jumped at the opportunity to get their 'dad' 's attention. Molly got all his attention while Edd just sat in silence whenever the three of them did something. Sometimes he would add in little jokes of his own. But for the most part, he just speaks up when someone talks to him. Bonding with the twins was more or less chaotic than with Sophie. Well, the two of them were always chaotic in the first place. Bruno missed being around kids like this. It reminded him of his past and it surely made him happy to be with kids like these again.
Playing with little kids was what he certainly excelled in after all.
It was all going well and he was able to steadily keep up with the demands of Jack's life and make up his own techniques and whatnot to get through the day. He was getting closer to the family more and more. Although not until that one faithful afternoon.
