Arriving at the hospital I kept my distance from Ace, my clothes had been washed and dried and I was able to rewear it before coming here. Ace held an emotionless look, as he walked beside me. The incident which took place earlier in his shower still fresh in my mind, I shivered at the thought.

"I really hope she likes these bakes." Mother said, Betsy placed a hand on her palms giving her a gentle squeeze as reassurance.
"She will love them." We all agreed with Betsy as we walked into the room Callie was staying at, her face lit up as we arrived.

"How are you, Callista?" Mother asked approaching her and giving her a peck on the forehead, before Betsy did the same.
"I am feeling alright, the doctors have said that I will be starting my physiotherapy tomorrow." We all smiled hearing that, we all could not wait for her to come out of the hospital and back at home.

"We baked you some snacks, Crystal made some brownies where as Betsy and I made some cake." Mother said placing the bag filled with the stuff me baked beside her.
"Thank you, guys. I was sick from the hospital food, even the desserts taste like different." She groaned in disgust, my eyes ever so slowly looked towards Ace who was busy looking at Callie.

I was never meant to be his wife, never meant to be in his life. It was always Callie, and I walked in between them.

"No worries Callista." Betsy said, holding on to Callie's hands. Looking at Betsy it reminded me of the conversation we had in the kitchen, I was still bewildered by the information she told me. Had she been the only one who had chosen me first instead of Callista.

"I have asked the doctors if we are able to transfer you into the house and maybe have a nurse to look after you, they have told me they will let me know after tomorrows session." Callie's eyes brightened in hopes at what father had said, she had been in this hospital for a year had not seen a glimpse of the beautiful sun light or even the crowded people.

"That's great." She said smiling at everyone, her eyes travelled around us before settling on Ace. It pained me too see the love in her eyes, it pained me to know that both of us wanted the same thing but the only difference was he loved her and mine was just one sided.

I was dressed for the date with William, my hair was curled and I had worn a beautiful blue cherub print strappy ruched body con dress, which came to my mid thigh. Along with my favourite pair of white heels which had strings that would wrap around your legs, screwing the back part to my studs I finally glad with how I look.

My stomach fluttered, I felt like I was not meant to do this, that this was all wrong. I shook my head reminding myself, I was never his. I may hold the title as Wife for the next six months but I was still not the one who he wanted.

I was thrown into his life, and now I letting him go. Callie was awake, she was making incredible improvement and it would not be long before she is perfectly normal.

"Are you listening to me?" I snapped out of my thoughts hearing Cathy's voice over the phone, I had forgotten she was talking to me and in other words I did not hear a single word she had said to me.
"Yes, of course I did." I lied, I could just imagine her rolling her eyes already knowing the true answer.

"Fine, what did I say?" Fuck, I tried to think just hoping that I could remember what she had said but I was completely blank.
"Are you listening to me." I mimicked her, I heard her sigh making me bite my lower lips.
"Firstly, I do not sound like that and secondly, that just clears it you were not listening." I sighed giving up, it was not point arguing when she already knew the truth.

"Fine, sorry I wasn't listening but now my ears are all yours." I joked, whilst grabbing my purse to make sure I had everything inside. William would he here any moment to pick me up for our date.
"I said are you sure about this date, I know your upset with Ace but going on a date with someone you don't even like." I sighed hearing her say this, I had thought about this but I was done chasing the man who did not love me back and maybe this was my first step on moving on.

"Ace loves Callie, I can not try to steal my sisters man. Plus Ace has always said it to me that he could never love me, what happened between us was just in the heat of the moment. Now she is back." I said just as someone knocked on the door not giving her time to reply I quickly said my goodbyes before approaching the door and twisting it open.

"You have a nice place." William said looking around my condo, I smiled at him and thanked him.
"Your look beautiful." He said, I nodded my head with an appreciative smile.
"You don't look bad yourself." I replied back, I walked out shutting the door behind me. We began to walk silently towards the elevator, I stiffened feeling his hands on my waist.

"I'm sorry am I making you feel uncomfortable?" He asked pulling his arms away, he must have felt how I stiffened. I sighed grabbing his arms and placing it on my waist, I had to forget the tingling feeling I get when Ace would place his hands one or how good it felt.

As we walked out of the building, I felt the blood drain from my face as I saw Ace leaning against the hood of his car. I could feel his intense stare on me as I walked pass him and towards Williams car.

"Crystal." I froze hearing Ace say my name, so did William, we both turned to face him.
"Ayy, Ace how are you?" William asked going over to give Ace an brother hug, before approaching me again.
"I'm good, can I talk to you Crystal?" Ace asked, I shifted on my feet, I gave him a tight lips before turning and opening the passenger door of William's car.

"Maybe some other time."
