Twenty-four

"There is nothing for you to say hope." Josie says

"What do you mean it's nothing for me to say, you obviously see the ring " Hope says

"And if this is some lame reminder of Janice then I don't know why you have it." Josie says

"What?" Hope asked

"I know you two were together for some time but that doesn't mean you should keep that especially since we are what we are." Josie says as she put the ring on the dresser

Hope crossed her arms

"And what are we exactly?" Hope asked

"Co-parents, and seeing the way you are acting I think that's all we will ever be." Josie scoffed before she walked into the bathroom.

How could Josie be so stupid, the ring was clearly for her, if she would have just looked into detail she would see that her name is carved in the enter side of it and it even has yellow bands...

Yellow bands because Josie was the only one that Hope knew that looked amazing in yellow. To Hope, yellow was such an ugly color, it was the color that no one choose... and that's why she choose it for Josie...

It's a bigger meaning to her than she thought.

That's night was weird for Hope, Josie didn't say anything else to her after Hope gave her some clothes.

Josie was still confused on why she was so mad in the first place and Hope was stuck with her thoughts on whether she should tell Josie to marry her sooner.

It would solve all hopes problems if she was being honest.

It was livs birthday

And her birthday party.

"Mommy! Mom! Wake up!" Liv says as she jumped up and down on the bed.

"I'm up princess! I'm up." Hope says before she got up and picked up liv.

She started to tickle liv which made her laugh.

Liv giggled.

"How old is my princess now?" Hope asked liv

"I—I 4!" Liv says excitedly

"Okay, hold up 4 fingers." Hope say

Liv was a little confused because no one ever taught her math or anything.

Josie didn't because it hurts her brain and that's why she sent her to school in the first place.

"I don't know how." Olivia says

"Okay count with me." Hope says as she walked out of her room with liv in her hands.

"1" Hope says as she held up one finger

"1" liv repeated as she copied the same thing Hope did.

"2." Hope says as she held up 2 fingers

"2" liv repeated again.

"3" Hope says

"3!" Liv got really excited because she was getting the hang of it.

"Now 4." Hope says as she held up 4 fingers.

It was a little tricky and hard for liv but she managed to put up 4 fingers.

"My princess! You did it! You did it!" Hope cheered as she swerved liv back and forth.

"I did it mom! I did it!" Liv clapped her hands.

"What's all this noise going on?" Josie asked as she walked out of hopes room

"Our little girl knows how to count to 4 now... without a struggle...right?" Hope asked liv

"Yup mommy! I big girl! I big girl!" Liv cheered

Josie chuckled.

"Good job baby." Josie says before she kissed livs cheek.

Hope watched Josie and she couldn't be more happier to see her daughter and future wife smile...it was the best thing in the world.

"Let's get you ready for the party princess." Hope says

"What do you mean? It's way too early" Josie says finally talking to Hope

"Well, Lizzie wants her to be there early so she could change into her first outfit." Hope says

"First outfit?" Josie asked

"Yes, apparently liv has to wear 2 dresses, one for the afternoon and the other for the night." Hope explained

"But why so early?" Josie asked

"Lizzie has a surprise for her there too, and she's not going to be at the party party, she's going out for breakfast with your dad, he got into town with his wife just last night." Hope says

"Oh fuck." Josie groaned

"Mommy you have to put the money in the jar when we get home." Liv says

"What?" Hope asked

"Every time someone curses around her you must put money in the jar she has, apparently she's starting her money business young, something Lizzie got her into." Josie says

"Aunt wizzie says so, that means mommy you have to put money in the jar." Liv argues

"I will baby. I will." Josie says before kissing livs forehead.

"I'm going to get her dressed, I will see you later?"

"Of course." Josie says

"And about last night-"

"Later hope." Josie says before she walked down the stairs.

If she would just let her explain then this whole thing could be put behind them.

All Hope wanted to do was marry Josie, and Hope finally knew this, liv knew this, Lizzie knew this...the only person who doesn't know this is Josie because she's too afraid to even assume that maybe the ring was for her.

Which the ring was.

Hope brought liv to Caroline's house.

"Hey g mommy!" Liv says before she ran to Caroline.

"I just seen you yesterday Livy." Caroline says as she hugged her

"I know, but I love your hugs." Liv says

That's when there was a knock at the door.

"I got it." Liz says

Liz opened it to reveal Alaric.

"Where's my favorite granddaughter?" Alaric asked

"Who are you?" Liv asked him

He let out a dry chuckle.

"I'm your grandfather" Alaric assured

Liv looked at Hope then at Caroline.

"Is this a joke?" Liv asked as her eyes softened up.

"Nope, this is not a joke..give me a hug." Alaric says

"Eww! mom I want go with aunt wizzie!" Liv says as she ran to Hope.

"Hey sis, are you ready for your daughters party?" Lizzie asked

"Yes, I do have a lot on my mind...and todays suppose to be about liv." Josie says

"On your mind? Like what?" Lizzie asked

"I found a ring in hope's dresser" Josie says

"Oh my gosh yes! Did you say yes?" Lizzie asked

"No...the ring was clearly for Janice." Josie rolled her eyes

"You dumbass. Your name is literally carved into it...so that means you said no?" Lizzie asked

"What are you saying?" Josie asked

"Hope was going to ask you to marry her dumbass."
