The train's horn roared as our take-off began. Sapphire and I looked at Lisanna in nothing short of bewilderment.
"You're serious?" I asked incredulously, "We're going to war?"
Lisanna nodded, "If that's what it takes," She said, "We'll need all the help we can get in the event. Every major guild in Fiore is an ally of Fairy Tail, so it shouldn't take us long to assemble people."
She was smiling in complete assurance, but I couldn't shake the uneasy feeling in my stomach...
Seriously... My stomach was suddenly doing backflips. I felt my face flush immensely, and I began to feel ridiculously faint. What the hell? These weren't just any nerves... I felt sick. Really sick.
I could feel myself hyperventilating, and Sapphire and Lisanna looked to me with intense concern.
"Jay?" Sapphire called, patting my cheek softly as my head started falling back on to our seat's headrest. I could feel the rough grinding of the train's gears and the sharp swipes of the wind against its exterior. The way my body sat still throughout its movements didn't feel right. I felt trapped, claustrophobic. Sweat started dripping down my forehead, and I could feel my stomach emptying, all of my food coming up from the inside.
"Jay, what's wrong?!" Sapphire cried, her voice sounding a bit foggy. I tried to get ahold of myself... but I didn't know how.
"Li... Lisanna..." I groaned as hard as I could, feeling my stomach lurch at any movement I made. I could see her worried expression from my weak posture. She reached for me eagerly, her eyes wide and strangely scared.
"My gosh, Jay, are you okay?" She exclaimed, her eyes wandering over my limp, quivering figure, "What's wrong? Can you speak?" She asked urgently.
"I..." I groaned, Sapphire's eyes watering and her grip on my shoulder tightening, "I... I gotta throw up—" I mumbled, almost hurling on the spot if I hadn't closed my mouth as quickly as I had. The train continued to shake and I groaned weakly.
Lisanna starred at me in confusion and concern... And then her expression went blank, like she remembered something.
A slow, comforting smile spread across her face, and I clenched my eyes to control myself, even though I desperately wanted to know what had changed her deeply concerned reaction. Could she help? What did she know?
Lisanna patted my hand gently, her soft fingers acting as my only form of comfort in that moment, "There, there..." She said softly, "It will be over once we get off." I opened my eyes to look at her, my vision hazy.
What was she hiding?
"W-W-What are you t-t-talking about..." I breathed out harshly. Sapphire looked at Lisanna desperately.
"Do you know how to help her?" The purple exceed cried. Lisanna sighed.
"Don't worry," She assured Sapphire, "She just has a case of motion sickness."
I blinked, the train horn sounding louder than before and sending my head into a spiral. Motion sickness?! What the hell?!
My head continued to whirl until I passed out, hearing Sapphire continue to whimper while Lisanna comforted her.
~~~
"y... ay... Jay?" I shot up, startled and woozy. My body felt relieved and clear, and my head was no longer dizzy. I blinked, fully alert before meeting eyes with Lisanna's ocean blue orbs.
"W-What?" I stammered, looking around us to see Sapphire asleep and snuggled next to me, and the nineteen other exceeds gathered next to our train booth. They all looked at me curiously, "What's going on?"
