BABY AND A WEDDING![Completed]

Chapter 7

Paano ko nalaman na hindi si Zyiar Isherwood ang ama ng batang dinadala ko? That's because the lady from the resto-bar told me that she witnessed me coming to an inn with a man with pitch-black hair. Isherwood's hair is brunette.

"Pitch black hair..." It's uncommon to have that hair color in this empire unless you're a foreigner. 

"My lady, isang araw na po kayong nakahilata lang sa higaan niyo." ani Laurentia.

"Laurentia, sinabi mo sa akin na si Zyiar ang kasama kong lumabas sa mansion ng mga Alexander." Tinutukoy ko ang banquet na pinag host-an ng Count Bismuth Alexander.

"Iyon ay ayon sa  isang tagapagsilbi ng mga Alexander, My lady."

"Kung ganon nakita din ba niya akong sumakay sa isang karwahe kasama ang lalaking may itim na buhok? If not, then maybe that old woman is lying to me. Should I behead her then?" mukang nalunok naman ni Laurentia ang dila niya. My... why am I acting like the old Artisea.

The third witness was an attendee to that party Count Alexander organized. Her carriage was about to live the place  when she saw me with the Knight Zyiar escaping the party together. But she no longer saw what happened to both of us and how we separated. 

So the conclusion is that sabay kaming umalis sa party ni Isherwood but I arrived at the motel with a different man.

"How the in hell was that even possible..." napasabunot nalang ako sa buhok ko.

"Do you want some refreshments, my lady?"

"Yes please, a very cold one." 

Dumapa ako ng higa sa couch ko since hindi pa naman watermelon itong tiyan ko. Im devastated. Para akong pinagbagsakan ng langit at lupa. 

1 week had already pass, dalawang linggo nalang ang natitira sa palugit ng Marquess Edwayne  sa akin. Mukang malapit na akong tumira sa urban poor area. Kung palalakihin ko ang batang to sa ganong klase ng lugar ay mamamatay lang siya sa hirap dahil wala kaming makain na dalawa. Laganap din ang sakit sa ganong klase ng lugar, magagaya lamang ang batang ito sa dalawa kong bunsong kapatid na namatay sa sakit at gutom. Pero di bale na, kailangan ko nalang gumawa ng sarili kong diskarte para mabuhay. I know how a place like that works cause I've been there once in my life.

"Here my lady."

"Thanks, Laurentia."

Halos maubos ko ng isang lagukan lang ang juice. Sumandal ulit ako sa sofa habang isa isang kinakain ang sliced apple at grapes na binigay ni Laurentia.

"Laurentia, posible naman sigurong may lalaking may itim na buhok dito sa emperyo hindi ba?"

"Yes my lady, pero anong gagawin mo kapag nakita mo na ang taong hinahanap mo?"

"Then we'll marry."

"What if he refuses my lady?"

"Stop opposing Laurentia, baka mag jinx pa at tuluyang mapulot kami ng batang nasa sinapupunan ko sa kangkungan."

"Pardon me my lady, pero ano kangkungan?"

"It's a foreign word that means slum." Pagiimbento ko.

"Then that's possible my lady."

Napabuntong hininga nalang ako.

"Hindi mo ba ako sasamahan sa kangkungan Laurentia?"

"No. Walang pera sa lugar ba iyon." Napairap nalang ako sa sobrang pagka straight to the point ni Laurentia.

"That's the point. So whomever that bastard is. I need to find him. Or else both I and this child will die."

"What if you go to the information guild Lady Artisea?" Nanlaki ang mga mata ko. Maluluha na ata ako sa sobrang tuwa. Bakit ba hindi ko naisip na mayroon palang ganoon dito!

"You're so witty Laurentia. I can depend on you forever!"

"Not when you're living in the slum."

"Yeah, that of course..."

Nasa gitna palang ako ng hagdan pababa sa unang palapag  ay may butler na sumalubong sa akin sa ibaba. He bowed his head, put his right hand to his left chest like they usually do.

"Lady Artisea, Viscountess Sotrina has arrived to have an audience with you."

Isang malaking question mark ang tumatak sa isip ko. Viscountess Sotrina. I never heard that name before, rather read that name from the novel?

Hays. I look at myself. I dress so informally and unladylike. I was about to go to that guild na sinasabi ni Laurentia, since doon din sya madalas bumili ng impormasyon ay walang masama kung ako mismo ang sumubok niyon.

Napabuntong hininga nalang ako. I don't have time to entertain a guess so let me have a quick conversation with the Viscountess.

The butler brought me to the general receiving area. There I saw a woman in her late fifties. Sitting very prim and proper.

"Greetings to the lady of Montgomery Marquisate." She stood up and curtsy.

"Greetings Viscountess Sotrina. Pasensya na kung hindi kita maharap ngayon ng matagal, but may I asked the purpose of your visit?" Napalingon siya sa katulong na naghahanda ng tsaa, kaya naman pinabilisan ko ang pag prepare niya at pinaalis kaagad cause the Viscountess is concerned for something.

Kapagkuway may nilabas siyang maliit na bote at inilapag iyon sa center table.

"Sinabi mong tapangan ko pa ang unang gamot na binigay ko sa inyo. So I acquired this one for you my lady. I made sure that this is already proven and tested so you dont have to worry about your pregnancy anymore."

"The what?" Nagpanting ata ang taenga ko sa narinig. Gamot and pregnancy.

"Have you forgotten my lady? Sinabi mo sa akin 2 weeks ago na humanap ng mas mabisang pampalaglag-"

"Ah right. Pero hindi na kailangan Viscountess Sotrina. Thank you for your concern and the payment will be sent under your name in secret. The baby is already gone." Nakangiti kong sabi. Nanlaki naman ang mga mata niya.

"Akala ko ba hindi gumana ang nauna kong binigay-"

"Worry not, after a week saka palang ako dinugo and now the baby is completely gone. Thank you very much Viscountess. I hope that you can keep this secret buried." Nakangiti kong sabi sa kanya. Ngumiti lang din naman siya sa akin. She seem relieved  sa ibinalita ko sa kanya.

"Believe me, My Lady. We are two in this."

"Thank you. Hindi ko alam kung anong gagawin ko kung wala ka Madame Sotrina. But I will still keep this potion, may I?"

"O-of course my lady." Hmm...

"Well then, I can't accommodate you right now. I may go now Viscountess Sotrina. I appreciate you for visiting me but you know the drill, I cant see you again after this, father is getting antsy." Ngumiti ako sa kanya at nauna ng umalis.

Paglabas ko doon ay nabura lahat ng emosyon sa muka ko. Tiningnan ko ang maliit na botelya. Now I remembered where she came from.
