I felt a warm atmosphere around me, as if there was a soft blanket on my face, I slowly opened my eyes to the sun shining on me. I look down and hear Bennys soft snores aswell as another, I try getting up but a grip on my waist was tightened, I turn over to see Jake with his eyes still closed, I feel my lips tug up into a smile with the scene infront of me
"Jake" I whisper quietly
"mhm" He slowly opens one eye and looks at me before slightly smiling
"We should get up, everyones coming today and Benny needs to eat breakfast" He doesn't reply but nods and lets go of my waist, we both stand up and I turn around to see Benny squirming around feeling the spot where me and Jake were currently in
"E?, JJ?" He called out with his hands in the air waiting for someone to come grab him, Jake and I slowly walk over and jake lifts him up onto his lap with Benny facing him, Benny still has his eyes closed probably struggling to open them
"we're right here buddy" Jake assures him, Benny lifts his hands and cups Jake's cheeks feeling around his face then putting his head in the crock of Jakes neck
"come on little one lets go brush your teeth, I have some spare toothbrushes in my bathroom for you guys" I say making my way into the bathroom, we all start brushing our teeth while looking at each other through the mirror and when we finished the boys went to their rooms to get ready and then wait in my room for me, I'm glad my wardrobe was in the bathroom because it saves time and i'd be to lazy to go back and forth, I put on a black croptop t-shirt and pants that had lots of zips and a belt

I took one more look in the mirror and saw that my scars were noticeable but I didn't feel the need to hide them, what my brothers have told me is true, I did make it out alive and Im still standing, having these scars on display just tells a story which I survived. After a while of looking in the mirror I smiled at myself, I saw myself as someone strong whoses eyes were a mix of the ocean and forest, I didn't see the small little girl who hid her voice or cowered away from a man twice her age. I walked into my room to see Jake and Benny already dressed and sleeping again
