"You'll get sick if you keep jumping in that muddy water." His mother called after her boy that ran into the puddle of water before them. "But it's fun." "I know, but you'll catch a cold." His mother took him by the hand, ushering him from the puddle. The new family explored their surroundings in their neighbourhood. They just moved to Australia, hoping to find better schooling for their child.
"Look, his mother is dragging the foreigner from the water like a dog." The kids laughed. It wasn't much help that they were by a park. "I bet he doesn't even know English."
The boy squeezed his mother's hand. "It's okay sweetie, ignore them." They both walked to the car.
"That's right, run away to mommy!"
Felix pressed his emotions down deep into a dark place in his head. He told himself it wouldn't get to him, they're only being mean, I am not different, I am who I am.
